Trancas Crossing is a small, local park. The one trail, less than a mile, is paved and flat. There is a small hill from the parking area to the trail and there is handicapped parking in the flat area. In one place grass has started sprouting through the pavement but the rest of the pavement is smooth.
There are several signs with descriptions of plants and animals. I was there in August and the central meadow is still filled with flowers, including some late California poppies. At the sign describing the origins of the Trancas Crossing you can walk down to the river. In late summer the water was very low, and with the tide out the banks were muddy.

Read morePeaceful landscaped park. Great for running, walking, dog walking, meditating, etc. NOT CROWDED which is a major Plus during this pandemic. Was headed to Westwood hills, but decided for Trancas instead after seeing the stacked, parked cars, and crowds of people.
