We arrived unannounced and were able to book a tasting within an hour. We were greeted at the door with a Sauvignon Blanc which we picked up a bottle of at the end.
Our host Jermaine took us on a tour of the winery mid tasting and showed us the various spaces they have available as well as the room where the wine is aged (picture). That room can be rented out for gatherings and lunches, as can several others which range from formal to casual.
Jermaine opened a bottle of 2014 Syrah for us to try, one of less than 20 bottles left. We bought another so there aren't many left. Their Pinot Noir rivals the best of what Oregon has to offer (and we'd just been wine tasting in Oregon a week prior).
Their Cabernet Sauvignon offerings are diverse enough to find a good paring with many foods. One had hints of blueberries, blackberries and plums and another had an earthiness with notes of cherry and citrus, for instance.
The grounds are tucked away in a little oasis behind a commercial zone but is everything you'd expect from a Napa Valley vinyard. The art on the walls is for sale and painted by our very host Jermaine himself. The art is quite good and I have my eye on one of his paintings for a space I'm working on at my home.
All in all, this was a great tasting in an amazing environment with friendly and knowledgeable people. The paintings become a metaphor for the winery; true...
Read moreBradley, Bradley, Bradley... what an amazing host you were! We have never had a more lovely and pleasurable experience at a winery in all of Napa County. And, because we've been regulars visiting Napa since 2006, that is saying something. And the Pinot? The Central Coast has nothing on Eleven:Eleven. This review is late in coming. Our visit was on May 28th after a grueling day in San Francisco getting visas handled that couldn't be handled in Los Angeles. We don't know what it is exactly (the tasteful interior design, the quality of wines, the attentive and conscientious service, your (Bradley's) charming personality, or just the pure welcoming energy of the place), but we ended our day (we were the last to leave after that large party) in a calm and completely rejuvenated state that made the drive back to Los Angeles the following day less taxing than we've ever experienced. Thanks so much for taking such great care of us. We look forward to...
Read moreWe’ve visited dozens of wineries in the valley and were very impressed with the hospitality and the varietals here. The tasting room itself feels bright, airy, and spacious. Grounds are well kept and beautiful. They have an impressive selection for a small production winery. Excellent winemaker (IYKYK) and really exceptional service. Both Bradley and Anis went above and beyond the typical tasting room experience in terms of professionalism and attentiveness. Eleven Eleven is also privately owned and female owned which is a rarity in the valley these days. We particularly enjoyed their sauv blanc, malbec, syrah and cab sauv. Our tasting included a perfectly portioned cheese, charcuterie and chocolate pairing which is just a nice touch and great value. We witnessed a proposal during our tasting and it was impressive to see the staff orchestrate so many moving parts to make it happen....
