Osprey Seafood of California — Restaurant in Napa

Freshest seafood in town. I love supporting this local business and appreciate the welcoming and friendly staff. Quality of the seafood at Osprey is superb. They sell directly to many of the chefs and restaurants in this culinary valley. Some of my favorites:

POKE BOWLS -As a treat, I love getting their poke bowls. They have assorted types of poke and a variety of toppings. To this date, it is the freshest and tastiest I have ever enjoyed.

SALMON & HALIBUT BURGERS - I enjoy picking up some for a quick dinner. Just be aware that they can sell out because they are so good. I now always have a Plan B, for that very reason!

VISITORS- Great place for visitors to stop in and pick up some seafood to pair with the Napa wine they bought that day.

KNIFE SHARPENING - For locals, Golden State Sharpening comes to Osprey to offer their knife sharpening service. It is nice to see businesses supporting each other - enhancing community spirit.

LOYALTY POINTS - I haven't cashed in yet - my points just keep building. Nice perk!

THE EXTRAS - Osprey has available condiments, sauces, and more to heighten your seafood selections; taking a meal to another level.

Since our regular Sashimi grade Fish shop (Anna's Petaluma) is closed until Jan9, 21 we wanted to check out Ospreys in Napa. We had ask for high grade SASHIMI/SUSHI grade fish and spent total $120, our verdict in just two words "very disappointing". We bought two types of Salmon, Hamachi, Scallops, Poke and Lobster Bisque ($21). Nothing compared even close to what we are used to from Anna's. Six days ago, we placed a preorder over the phone for frozen squid and smelts for Christmas, went to pick it up this morning and the person at the counter had no record of such an order. After 15 minutes of looking around, they managed to find a bag with a post it note with our last name (spelled incorrectly) with fresh squid. After some back and forth, we were told they didn’t have any smelts. Ended up purchasing an overpriced bag of frozen squid - got charged the price of fresh squid and left. Disappointing to...
