Five Guys — Restaurant in Naperville

The food is what you expect for 5 guys, and when I say that, I mean you have to get the value out of the cost of this place ! Extremely high price of admission to a burger and frys being over $20 for just 1 person eating a single party burger, smallest fru, and a shake.

I'll say this team typically hits it out of the park when addressing this issue ! The cost is SO easy to tip the experience in a negative light.

I'd like to highlight one of their managers, to which I do not know how name. I know he will travel to other locations at times, but when he is in the store, the good is PERFECT every single time !

He's maybe in his 40s, thin glasses, maybe 5'8" in proportion. If he reads this, he will know who I am. I am the 40s white male suffering from cancer 4, and he makes sure my food and experience are exactly as I need it to be enjoyable. He goes out of his way for me, but having been in ownership in the QSR industry, I watch him pay equal attention to every order that crosses his line. Thank YOU sir for your dedicated work. You do a great job snd a master of your craft. Thanks bud

I'll say I only now order when he is on shift as my last experience w/o him working was very poor and I tossed out more than half my order ! That's a pricey toss...

And I know bad orders happen, but it wasn't random luck. I had asked the employee to do my regular prep since the lead manager was not there that day.

Not only did he refuse to make MY food, at THAT price, upon request, when I enquired as to why he walked a few steps to the MG on duty and came back straight lying to my face !

It's fine. The guys on that shift must be pretty poor line cooks to LIE to my face about my $21 of food. I can forgive the inability to perform, I realize where I am. But don't tell a lie ! The kid had no clue I'd know it was blatant fabrication most people would think made sense. As I said, over 2.5 decades in the business, I know every corner.

All that said, as a general rule in my years coming here the customer experience has been outstanding, the food while not worth the price, I feel satisfied nearly EVERY time and happy to spend the premium for it.

All you young bloods back there, thank you for the work you're doing and being a pleasant bunch. Management, thanks for keeping the operation safe, clean, tidy, and spot on cooking skills.

Five guys is truly a phenomenon. They have earned their right to be one of the best in gourmet tasting burgers for a reasonable price. (although that reasonable price has gotten a bit high these days at $10.50 for the regular hamburger with all the works - no cheese)

They make everything fresh to order and you can tell in the taste.

The picture shown in the review is the "little hamburger" which is still plentiful if you're going to snack on the free peanuts available here while you're waiting for the burger to be made.

The fries shown in the picture are called "little fries". Believe me when I say that even the little fries will be good enough with your meal. Don't forget to ask for Cajun salt on top of the fries. Makes a big difference.

Delicious, grilled burger place. Cooked patties have that nice crunchy exterior. They have fantastic fries too. The burger toppings are fresh tasting. The restaurant is always clean and bright. The staff is friendly as well. Interestingly, Five Guys lets you know where their fries came from by giving the name of the potato farm, and where it is located. I have also had a hot dog here, which was also very good. The standard burger comes with two beef patties. If you only want one patty you should order your burger as "little". As a bonus free shell-on peanuts are offered while you wait. We prefer Five Guys way over...
