Great Jeweler!! In the past I had worked with a jeweler just up the street for many years but when the owner of that shop retired and closed up shop about a year ago I was forced to start looking for a new Jeweler. I was in the market to have a high-end custom ring made and talked to several different jewelry shops. Raj the owner of Precious Fine Jewelry spent a lot of time with me and seemed the most knowledgeable so I decided to go with him. We negotiated a fair price and we got the process started. They have a designer on staff that came up with several different computer generated images of the ring I described, she tweaked her design until I saw exactly what I wanted. They make all their custom jewelry on site with state of the art technology and equipment. Raj invited me in during various stages of the ring being made. I got to see the wax mold being made on their 3D printer, I got to see them prep and pour the mold into the investment cast, I got to see the rough ring casting after it was removed from the mold, it was all very interesting to me. The finished product is amazing. They have a huge showroom with a lot of beautiful ready to wear pieces as well. They offer service, cleaning and repairs to all jewelry and watches as well. The other month I dropped off my Breitling for a maintenance/cleaning. After waiting a couple weeks, I received a call back, and got myself a good deal using cash in person ($20 off of $270). I checked my Breitling after I've already handed over my cash and it's all stained yellow, waiting for another lovely bargain/negotiation after the geniuses already opened it up and "cleaned/maintained" it. Instead I handed over another old watch, got no receipt/ticket for it, called after nearly a month just to find out that Raj is now "putting together another envelope" for this old watch to be sent out to be fixed again. Before the day was done, Raj called to explain that they "couldn't find parts" although clearly he started looking for them the same day I called and reminded him that I've dropped some thing off in the first place. Pure negligence for a piece of jewelry that sentimental and rare, when in reality this thing was going to sit on his desk until we all forgot about it.

If you like to bargain with cash and have no where else to go in Naperville, be our guest. No doubt in my mind this guy can do a good job, just not this time and probably not all the time.

Forgot to mention, since the owner replied and I'm the bad guy. Check the cost of batteries at the grocery store before you ask for yours to be changed....

My fiance and I had a fantastic experience here. Raj was easy to work with, and knew exactly how to create the custom ring design we verbally described to him. He was a great communicator, both via text and email, and it was awesome that we were able to see 3-D designs and renderings of the ring we ended up with (see below). Raj quickly made edits we requested, but also gave us honest feedback and his professional opinion on the design/materials, based on our needs and budget. He also provided us with an appraisal as part of his service, so we could get the ring insured.

I should mention, after meeting with several jewelers in Chicago (where we live), we decided to work with Raj at Precious Fine Jewelry in Naperville, given his quality work, customer service, and competitive pricing.
