Just recently, I went to Krishna Fashion House to get some saree blouses stitched for my wedding. I hesitate giving bad reviews, but I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering getting their blouses stitched here.
My first time in, I received good service and agreed to the expensive fee to stitch my blouses. I thought the fee would reflect the excellence in their stitching, and we agreed I should pick it up a month later.
Before it was time to pick up my blouses, I called to ask if I could come a day early to pick them up if they were ready. They informed my that it was not possible and if I could come a few days later. After that, there was a lot of back and forth with style and fabric, which is when I realized they hadn’t even started working on my blouses and were rushing the process. All these questions should have been asked in the store or right after.
I went in hoping to pick them up, and I was told to try them on. The service this day was SO BAD! I stood in their sewing room before someone came over to evaluate what more alterations to get done because they were serving someone else. The stitching was so off and horrible. I also paid for extra new material to be put on my blouses, but I got material that was marked and had stains. When pointed out the stains all over my blouse, they convinced me they were from my material until I told them I had pictures of my material and was firm that it was not. I was so discouraged that day, and hoped it would get better when I returned for the alterations.
My next visit was fast and better! I tried on the blouses, they were okay! Their dori stitching was also good! I went home happy that day!
The day of my wedding rehearsal, I wore one of the blouses, and as my mom was tying the doris they both broke. With the type of stitching done. The blouse would not sit on my shoulder well without the tied dori, so my mom figured something out to make it work.
On the day of my wedding, I wore the wedding saree blouse and dori broke too. My wedding saree blouse was much not as tight and needed the dori for it to stay on my shoulders. I was about to burst into tears, but luckily someone had a sewing kit to sew it back together in the time being. It was embarrassing!! A terrible thing to happen on your wedding day.
I DO NOT recommend Krishna Fashion House to anybody wanting to get their saree blouses stitched — it is really not worth the price. However, if you are looking for ready-made dresses, you may have a...
Read moreI went into this store with high hopes that it wouldn't be like every other Indian store in the area. We purchased two items with promises that everything would be fitted and finished in time for us. We were told to come back for our items when the tailor would be in in case she needed to fix any minor issues. We got a call saying to come in exactly at 11am as the tailor would only be in house for awhile. We arrived at 11am only to find out our stuff wasn't even completed yet. After waiting for a couple hours our outfits didn't even fit!!! I was told they don't give refunds, and was absolutely appalled because the tailor herself there was no way they should have even sold this outfit to you as it wouldn't have worked with the type of alterations needed. Finally after complaining tons she gave me a refund on the suit. The next item was a sari which we were told would come with a beautiful blouse, as it turns out the lady didn't know what the blouse fabric was and everything was done backwards and there was no way to fix it. She refused a refund on this. I was absolutely appalled at their service. This woman sold us outfits that weren't even correct and refused to admit this was her fault. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, save yourself time and money. You will be promised things just so they can make...
