Restaurant Review: Eddie J's - A Haven for Steak Lovers
Located in Napoleon, Ohio, Eddie J's is a hidden gem for steak enthusiasts. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this renowned establishment, and I must say, the experience left me utterly impressed.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by warm and attentive staff members who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with dimmed lighting and tasteful dĂŠcor that set the perfect mood for an unforgettable meal.
Now, let's get to the star of the showâthe steak. Eddie J's is unquestionably a paradise for carnivores, and their steak offerings are nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasted a tantalizing array of cuts, each carefully sourced and expertly prepared. After much deliberation, I opted for their signature sirloin, and it was a decision I will never regret.
The sirloin steak arrived perfectly seared, with a beautiful caramelized crust. With each bite, the steak melted in my mouth, releasing a burst of rich, succulent flavors that made my taste buds dance with joy. Cooked to perfection, it had just the right amount of marbling, ensuring a tender and juicy texture throughout.
Accompanying the steak was a selection of delectable sides, including grilled asparagus. The asparagus was cooked to a delightful crispness, providing a refreshing contrast to the hearty steak.
What truly elevated my dining experience at Eddie J's was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, offering knowledgeable recommendations and promptly attending to any requests. They exuded a genuine passion for their craft, creating an atmosphere that made me feel like an esteemed guest.
To conclude, Eddie J's is a must-visit for any steak aficionado in Napoleon, Ohio. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an unforgettable steak, Eddie J's is the place to be. Prepare to indulge in a dining experience that will leave you...
Read moreWe stopped here tonight after passing up on Outlaw Smokehouse in Napoleon. Both places of which we haven't eaten at before. They have a pretty good menu here and at first I was going to order the 12 oz Ribeye but they were out of it so I went with the Philly Cheese Steak. We also ordered the Monterey Chicken. Additionally we ordered the Trio Platter and Loaded Potatoes as Appetizers. There were appx. 5 tables seated when we arrived a little after 6pm and by 7 there was only 1 other table left. Our appetizers arrived fairly quickly but our entrees took quite a while, especially with only a couple tables seated. Our server did apologize to us for the wait and stated they had large "to go" orders to fulfill. They should probably take care of their in-house customers first instead of having to go orders take precedent but that's my opinion. A two top table next to us came in a while afterwards and still received their food before us but it was a pizza. Our Trio Platter was delicious, it consisted of Pretzel Bites, Mozzarella Cheese Curds and Onion Rings (definitely a must to try). I'm not a fan of onions or onion rings at all but they were pretty good. The loaded potato has pulled pork in it which is different but it was good. My Philly Steak sandwich was pretty good but the sub bread/hoagie bun could have been toasted more, it did detract from the sandwich. The portion size of the Monterey Chicken we ordered was pretty small but it tasted great, the tangy BBQ marinade had good flavoring. The decor was neat, quaint and with plenty of conversation pieces on the wall. Overall not a bad local place, service could have been better but there are other entree choices that we were wanting to try so we'll...

The owner Doug and his staff were very much engaged with every customer, even anticipating their needs ahead of the request on a busy and crowded Saturday night.
Cleanliness was top-notch both inside and on the outdoor patio.
The music was well chosen to fully satisfy the entire diverse crowd who were listening, and dancing. And the older members of the customer pool noted the Goldilocks Volume: âNot too loud but just loud enoughâ, I overheard one gentleman state.
As a side observation: Doug is highly engaged with the entire Napoleon business community and even demonstrated a strong knowledge of the townâs original Trail Blazers, its development history and the evolution of the thriving downtown.
Overall Experience: âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Well done, Doug and...
