Disgusting food... deplorable service...worn down environment outdated everything... including the servers tires eyelashes...if you want to be sworn at and required to take the food and pay for it even if it made you sick and took an hour and a half to get... stop in...but if you want to be treated with respect and have even basic food that's worth the plate it comes on... eventually...runaway to anywhere else...food in the dumpster would taste better and service would be 10 times better from a dumpster diver than it ever would here...UPDATE 5/16/24...seems awfully interesting that it took my review and several days after my visit to get a dignified response from the "owner" instead of this "owner" or a member of management worth the shoes they were wearing, making an attempt to intervene and resolve the matter on the day of the visit instead of allowing a big mouth teenager to swear at customers in front of my 88 year old aunt and the whole restaurant lie about the length of time it took to get our order as I timed the whole thing. She clearly forgot to mention that there were 9 parties of people who came after us that were seated, served, paid their bills and exited the building before we even got our slop/salad. She also forgot to mention that I showed her the 2 eraser sized pieces of avocado that were on my sandwich that i ordered on a bun. Seems to me that the last time I checked into service and satisfaction etiquette...if the paying customer doesn't like the food that there is an attempt to offer an alternative resolution instead of saying tough $%^& you're going to eat it and pay for it. I do appreciate you responding as I am sure any basic small business owner would and you are partially correct, the salads were very salad (not tough to screw those up!!) but you have your facts twisted and if you or some self respecting member of management were there and not just taking the word of a disrespectful employee and did nothing to step in and provide the kind of leadership and direction for your clearly unhappy waitress needed...shame on you. And if you were truly concerned about being a small business in the tough food business that day...then you or some grown up employee with less of a need for attention should have stepped in to try and fix the situation in some way. I came to your spot in good faith after reviewing several others in the area and the history of your place was interesting and drew us in but your level of service more than the food will prevent us from ever revisiting. Best of luck going forward because with the quality of help like that and your lack of leadership and training for public facing service providers...you...
Read moreI have no idea how this place was busy or had a high rating. I ordered the pickle fries which were salty as heck. I ordered a quesadilla burger and waffle fries. Said it comes with jalapeños and there were maybe 3 tiny ones on the whole thing. Burger was so overcooked and dry. Had to add a salt, pepper, mustard, and ketchup myself to make it edible. Waffle fries were undercooked. My son liked his fries and chicken strips. They tried to charge me for his milk even though the menu says it's included. Luckily I caught it and they removed it. Our food took an HOUR to get to us and I noticed a table next to us with 6 people. 5 of the 6 got their food. One guy sat there for half an hour while everyone else ate before he got his food....a sandwich, like what? Service was slow and meh as well. Will never go back or recommend this place to anyone, ever.
Edit to reply to comment: After our food took an hour and made us almost late for what we needed to do afterwards, I wasn't going to waste even more time asking for them to make something else, but thanks for...
Read moreI got the southwest omelet. It was super busy for just opening. The crew was doing an excellent job. The chili on my omelet was accidentally forgotten. Didn't matter, the meal was still beyond delicious. The waitress noticed I didn't have chili on my omelet and reminded the cook that it comes with chili. The cook, to my surprise, bought me a replacement omelet to go so I would I get what i paid for. I also had ordered a beer with my meal (night shift worker). The beer I ordered, the keg went empty on her. She immediately sprung into to action to replace it. I told her don't worry about I can order a different beer. She was very prompt and polite. The food, the drinks, and the service. It was an awesome experience.
Simply amazing, and I very much look forward to having a 2nd meal at this location. This was my first time going to Spengler's since I moved to Napoleon well over a year ago. I have been wanting to try this place out. And my only regret is I didn't...
