I am EXTREMELY disappointed. Never have i had customer service irk me to the point that i feel OBLIGATED to write a review so they never give such poor service again. But, here i am. Ordered a croissant with butter and hash browns, as well as a specialty bacon egg and cheese with hash browns and two coffees. All went well in drive thru, left in a semi-timely manner (sandwich and croissant took few minutes). ALL WAS FINE! Until.. my girlfriend opened up her croissant and it was SWIMMING in butter. Fine, not upset yet, just turned around, pulled back in, had the sandwich guy remake the croissant. All was cordial. Croissant was a little burnt but i guess im being picky at this point so my girlfriend ate it and we headed home, 12 minutes away. Upon arriving home i realize that one of the 6 piece hash brown had only 5 hash browns, which has happened before and isnt a huge deal but i was already wronged and therefore this resulted in a strong frustration. To add the cherry on the dunkin-really-messed-up sundae, the extra money i spent to get specialty bacon was entirely wasted because i was provided with an ordinary bacon egg and cheese. Of course at this point my girlfriend is telling me to calm down and “its just dunkin,” but I HAVE WORKED for Dunkin and excel in customer service so you can imagine my frustration when i call and let an associate know about the situation and she says she can only refund me money if i come back, 12 minutes away, during a rainstorm (was supposed to be snowstorm), when my gas, time, and energy could not be compensated for. I gradually became angry because i noticed an extreme lack of care from the associate i was speaking with even though i was, at first, being probably the nicest complaining customer she had ever heard. I may have turned very sour very quickly but i would expect some better service and compensation for the money time and effort wasted. If i were them i wouldve figured out a way to email some type of coupon or at least wouldve offered something more if i had returned to the store. Nothing of the sort was offered, just a cold, “No,” when i asked to clarify, “So, theres no way you can help me?” VERY DISAPPOINTED (meanwhile my girlfriend rolls her eyes at my seemingly excessive madness towards this, but i feel my anger is entirely rightfully placed). Shape up Dunkin. Seriously.
P.s. Coffee was good despite no effort of stirring with the long spoons theyre provided with (lazy in my opinion).
I apologize but i dont feel...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru this morning. I order an ice coffee as always, I ask at the board, to stir my ice coffee. As I pulled up to the window all the sugar and caramel was thick and visible at the bottom of my cup. It wasn't stirred. I asked again politely if someone could stir it. The young girl at the window laughed, and instead of handing the coffee off to someone else to stir, she took it and crouched down under the table with it, as if i wasn't looking, and shook it! I drove off to park to go in. As I began saying I wanted a refund, the Manager asked me what was going on. I proceeded to speak and the young lady started yelling over me as a child does, accusing me of getting an attitude! I was heated at this point and yelled back at her, asking if she knew the difference between stir vs shake. She told me I shouldn't come to Dunkin'. As she was yelling and being a psycho, lighting the fire under me, i told her she shouldn't be in customer service at all. I was trying to maintain my politeness to the young man at the counter and towards the manager. This is unacceptable period! She was working the window. There was no need or reason for her to laugh in my face upon my second request to stir the sugar and Caramel that layed there in the cup. Nor was it her responsibility to fix it. And finally the yelling she started because she wanted to validate her mistake and not own or take accountability for her actions was absurd!!! Back in the 90s, we stirred the ice coffee, always, period. Why with coffee being nearly $4 a cup, do we even have to request someone to stir our coffee??? It's common sense, just like when you make Kool-aid. Do you leave the sugar on the bottam and drink it without stirring??? Anyway, I will make my own from here on out!! Done with that...
Read moreI’ve live in Narragansett my entire life, I’ve always gone to this Dunkin. Friday early morning, I went through the drive through and ordered several dozen doughnuts for my coworkers. There was no one in line behind me. The miserable woman said “you will need to come in for that.” I replied back “I’m an amputee, I have one leg and use crutches. I have no problem coming in but you will have to carry the doughnuts out to my car.” She replied back “so why can’t you come in.”
I left, very upset on how rude and ignorant this lady was. I am an above knee amputee and am getting my other leg amputated as well. So I cannot physically carry anything with two hands.
You work in a service industry, where you serve people doughnuts and coffee. There are people in this world who cannot physically carry doughnuts from inside a facility to their car. I will never be going back here and I think your employees should be educated on how to interact with customers.
I proceed to go to the Dunkin in Middletown and thanked the gentleman at the window for being so kind to me, and explained what happened at the Narragansett location and he...
