I came in on Super Bowl Sunday at 12pm with my family who was visiting from out of town. Buds closes at 1pm on Sunday, which we were aware of. I've been coming to Buds since I was in high school and I'm also aware of their speedy service, so I knew one hour would be more than enough time.

When we walked in, one server looked at me, rolled her eyes and out loud said, "Are you kidding me? You come in an hour before we close?" So I asked, I thought you closed at 1pm. She replied yes. I then asked, so why such a negative greet? We have an hour? Her response: "Ignore me."

After we sat, another server came over to our table. Instead of saying hi, welcoming us, or even giving her name, she says, "I'm supposed to be going home, but I guess I'll be nice."

I was furious and embarrassed. I bragged to my family how good this place was and then this is the treatment we get because we came in an hour before you close? If you don't want to serve guests, then maybe Buds should close at noon.

My group was 12 people. We were in at noon, fed, paid and walking out by 12:40. So was the rolling of the eyes and horrible service necessary? Another couple was walking in as we were preparing to leave and unfortunately that couple got the same greet as my group...eye rolls. As an owner of a restaurant that's been established for many years, I would reconsider the staff you have...

Arrived at 1:46 on a Saturday, sat down at the counter and was immediately told that I needed to hurry up by a middle-aged woman sitting next to me, chewing food with her mouth open and speaking to me with it full of food.

The waitress seemed friendly but nervous and also encouraged me to hurry.

I placed my order within 2 minutes and once again the lady to my right, with her mouth full of food, said "no you can't get that". I replied with, "I'm sorry do you work here?" and was told by the waitress that she was in fact the owner.

I apologized for bothering them and left.

I don't understand why someone would run their business that way. If you're open until 2:00, then be open until 2:00. If you want to shut the kitchen down at 1:30 or 1:45, then just put on the sign that the kitchen shuts down at 1:30 or 1:45.

If you're not willing to even put a sign up, the least you could do is introduce yourself to the customer as an employee/owner, thank them for coming in but apologize and say "I'm sorry the kitchen is shut down"

Also not talking with your mouth full is nice.

It's basic customer service I learned when I was 16.

At least the waitress seemed very friendly...

I am not impressed with Bud's. The service was HORRIBLE and the waitress came over twice. Once, to get our order and twice to plop our food down and then walk away. The Pancakes tasted like batter and there were 6 blueberries in each pancake. The French toast tasted like burned batter, oil, and bad vanilla. The eggs tasted like water and I was astonished by their taste since my 9 year old neice cooks them better. The bacon was burned and yet tasted like oil like everything else. The WORST thing was the home fries. They looked un-appatizing, but I gave them a chance. I took a bite and I think my taste buds puked. All I tasted was oil. To top it off we waited 15 minutes for the check, which then we went up to the counter and paid our bill. Then as I was leaving the waitress told me I shouldn't hold my laptop like I was. (Even though it's MY laptop) I am distrout because this restaurant used to be amazing and now I feel like I would never go back again. I just hope I was just there on the wrong day with...

Overall I liked this place-- the service is great, there's alot of room so you don't have to wait, they cook eggs perfectly (seriously... my fiancés over easy was great and my over hard had a solid yolk but the whites were cooked just like over easy. I don't know how they did it). Home fries were very tasty too (although they were well done like I asked). The not so great things were the coffee is weak, the bacon wasn't crispy and they layered margarine (not butter) on the French Toast. If those are really important to you, check this place out anyway. Prices were very good!

The food was average, It definitely needed some seasoning. The service was very fast we spent less than an hr for 4 meals. The atmosphere was nice. The prices were fair for what we got. Keep an eye on the receipt. It was busy, so the waitress accidently added an extra meal but was quick to adjust the bill when we pointed it out.

Hearty Breakfast, cute menu, great service and fast. Which is why it's surprising 😂 some of the food was delivered cold. Apparently French Toast & homefries are cooked ahead. It really takes away from the taste. Otherwise comfort food type of menu. Could be a hit or miss thing. It was kinda of busy.
