Agave’s Mexican Restaurant Briley Parkway — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I’m writing this review with the hope that it reaches the person responsible for managing or owning this restaurant because I believe your business has great potential — but my recent experience was unfortunately very disappointing due to poor service.

During my visit, I was served by an older lady who clearly lacks basic customer service skills. From the moment we sat down, she was unfriendly, unapproachable, and rude. When I asked about drink options, she simply told me to look at what was in the fridge instead of offering a menu or list. My order was also incorrect, and although I understand mistakes happen, she never acknowledged the issue, apologized, or gave me any kind of explanation. It felt like she didn’t care at all.

What’s even more concerning is that after reading other reviews, I realized that this isn’t an isolated incident — many customers have complained about this same server. That raises the question: why has this issue not been addressed? Honestly, the way she acts, it feels like she might be connected to someone in management, which might explain the lack of accountability.

The food itself was very good, and I truly believe this place could be one of the best in the area if the service matched the quality of the kitchen. I hope you take this feedback seriously because your customers — and your food — deserve better representation.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. It started out ok. Around my 5th time ordering food to go for lunch is where I ran into the problem. I’m a black male, and was raised to respect other cultures and nationalities and that regardless, always go where your patronage is appreciated rather than tolerated. I ordered my food over the phone, no problem. When I went in to pick it up, there were 3 kids who worked there holding in laughs. I didn’t really think anything of it at first but when they looked over at the manager who was tallying up receipts it hit me. As one of the kids proceeded(still laughing) I asked what was funny. All 3 proceeded to look at me and laugh and the manager was obviously trying his best to act as if there was nothing wrong. They then went from speaking English to Spanish amongst each other and I told them that I wasn’t comfortable eating the prepared food that God knows what was done to it. I had a conversation with the manager who mentioned that they may have not understood me when 2 of them were speaking damn near perfect English when I arrived. They are very unprofessional and most likely have an issue with patrons who look like me. Too many other Mexican restaurants in the area to have to deal with this joke of a business. It was my first time here and I did not enjoy it.i got the enchilada Supreme and the cheese was just mozzarella cheese and it was hard and not pleasant to me.the sauce is basically just red sauce.my couzin got the beef taco and it had no seasoning on it.apparently you have to ask for the green sauce but they deep fried their chips which makes it hard and it is very expensive for a drink too.if it's your first time reccomend not coming here to try it.the food was very cold and the cheese on the enchilada wasn't even melted.the communication isn't very well taught t these people the tacos have so much cheese i ant even pull the shrimp of of the tack because they actually melted it.none of this food has seasoninf and is...
