Too bad this isn't the same establishment as it was 10 years ago. The owners should be ashamed to own a business in the hospitality industry near Music City. Somebody needs to take down the autographed photos of country music stars off the walls cause honey...when I tell you that those folks would sooner eat their record contract than be associated with this dead end business, and that's saying the least cause I don't think the daily ins and outs of this bar are as commonly known as they once were amongst the general public. That's not gonna last very long with the vibes being no where near hospitable. Much less of the southern hospitality variety, which is one of the things that makes this industry in this area so lucrative. Just to name a few things witnessed recently they don't seem to have any chiefs in there that have the slightest clue about running a business. Is this a bar or a clown college? From the way they treat the staff all the way down to the customers whether they be a regular, a once in a blue mooner, or a one and doner. Can someone make this next part make sense? How in the world does a spot have such a hard time keeping food inventory in house when there is a grocery store that pretty much shares the parking lot? Like go grab the sauce off the shelf and don't make your guest suffer for weeks on end. Like seriously you could walk to the market from the front door. 0 out of 10, highly do not recommend. Do better, Betty. It's not giving what it's suppose to give and hasn't been for a hot minute... #bringbettyback #resurrectherlikeyesterday...

Usually you'll find a mixture of daily regulars, and occasional regulars, inner mixed with peeler just discovering the place. Sort of "unknown" in the bar scene of the greater Nashville area, it's a great place to hang out and relax, whether visiting Nashville or a lifelong resident, just looking for a new place to hang out.
With a small bar kitchen, for mostly fried stuff, and quickly eaten "bar foods", that's open late into the night, the process and selection is surprisingly large. For those looking for a regular meal, the restaurant part of Betty Lou's serves good ole American foods, inexpensively, but full of flavor!
Under new ownership (though the same name), it's retained the feel and atmosphere it's known for, mainly because of the funny, kind, and experienced bar staff. The place would be far different without them, and probably similar to the many dives that dot the landscape of Nashville.
If you've never been, is worth it to take a chance, drop by, and maybe discover your next favorite place to hang, watch a ball game, and...
Read moreIt's a nice little bar and grill in a strip shopping center. It's very small but has a full service bar, a short order menu and 4 TV's to watch football games. They have different specials for different nights and they offer karaoke. The music played over the sound system is loud but not overwhelming. I had a cheeseburger and crinkle cut french fries, both were very good. I chose this bar and grill because they advertised that they had pool tables. And they do. 7' tables that cost $1.00 per game, bring quarters or there is a change machine. There are a variety of house cue sticks to choose from as well as a bridge. But at only 7' there is not much need...
