Boba & Bites — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Came here because I saw it on Instagram. I got a mocha boba with lychee jelly and caramel drizzle (it was too sweet for me, so I switched to a sunset boba soda) and a strawberry cream croffle. Let me tell you, for the price of the croffle, it went beyond what I expected. That cream is delicious, the strawberries looked and tasted fresh, and the presentation was wonderful. The boba is really sweet, so if you like a typical level of sugar I’d suggest pressing “half sugar” on the kiosk when you order. The service was lovely and quick, and everything was very clean. Anyway, back to the croffle, it was nice and warm and the outside was perfectly crisp with a spongy, fully cooked inside. They are, admittedly, difficult to cut into. The knives provided are too flimsy to cut with any efficiency so my suggestion is to stick your fork into it and turn it like spaghetti until you get the piece you want out (at least, until they get better knives). I’d love to see them invest in plates for people that want to eat their croffle/dessert in-house, because the atmosphere is pretty nice. I also think it would be nice to put some sound-proofing around the boba bar area because some of the machines are loud, but that’s personal preference. Thank you B & B for tasty milk teas and superior service. Only had their milk tea and horchata versions and all have had the ideal amount of sweetness and creaminess while still carrying over the black tea flavor.

Today, specifically, I ordered a delivery service (1 milk tea and pumpkin spice 3-milk cake) from them to deliver to someone dear to me. I left a slap dash note in the delivery instructions (saying it's a bday and candle, perhaps?) assuming it'd be overlooked or accompanied with a hard eye roll at best. However, the staff was so sweet that they left a treat and candles and sprinkles packaged in a zip lock bag for the b-day celebrant as though a mom left a love note inside their kid's lunch box. What?! This is some level of kindness. There is some otherworldly goodness on this earth, making some of us a little less of a cynic. B&B, you are special! If you are in the area, stop by. Updated review 12/17/2023: After I wrote the old review, I went back to Boba & Bites 2 more times and had a great experience both times. They have upgraded their menus by adding a lot more flavorful drinks. My new favorite is Creme Brulee Matcha with red bean paste. It is delicious! I increased my star ratings to a 4 from a 2.

Old review: I like supporting small local businesses. I came to this place twice and ordered two different things. Croffle didn’t taste like anything except visible thick layer of sugar. But I wanted to give another chance so I came back and ordered boba, which didn’t have any sweetness to it. It was just scented water. It is really hard to find a good bubble tea shop...
