Our electrify America stop was comically bad, due us stopping for dinner at Guacamayas. It all started with free chips that were clearly cold from a bag, paired with salsa that had no other characteristics then bland and spicy. And I mean no reason spicy. (Not a deal breaker) This was followed by an $8 Paloma, served in a plastic cup that was clearly made without grapefruit juice. (Not a deal breaker) What got me was the burrito served in paper, not even wrapped. As I unwrapped the paper, the contents of the burrito spilled everywhere. As I reassembled my chicken burrito, I discovered bits of steak throughout it's contents. Normally not concerning, except for my vegetarian partner eating his (unwrapped) burrito across from me. This is my deal breaker - a Mexican restaurant that can't even wrap its own burritos.

Guacamayas is TOP TIER. I know we all know that many Mexican restaurants in southern US are really “American” Mexican restaurants that all have the same thing on the menu. guacamayas is not that. Yes they have the things you want from Mexican restaurants, they have the beans, the enchiladas, the rice, the gingo— all so so so delicious. However, they also have things like this dish. These incredible ribeye tacos topped with grilled jalanpenos with chicken base, onions, lime, cilantro… oh my goodness. Just order it. Also, the service is so lovely here. We loved everything about our waitress tonight. She was attentive, gave suggestions, and was able to translate what one of the 11 year old boys we had with us wanted. She was amazing.

I always order this place through a delivery app. It's on GrubHub and UberEats wich are my faves but I never have problems. My food is always still hot -or cold in case of fried ice cream- and delicious. I love the Burritos and Enchiladas, personally the Supreme combo plate burrito with rice and refried beans. The queso dip has just a tiny kick to it but I pour it over my plate anyway so it mixes well with the other flavors. Also, not that expensive. It's like 10 bucks for a burrito combo plate.

Food is nothing short of bland, mediocre, and perhaps even downright gross. This is one of the worst experiences, if not the worst, with American-Mexican food I have experienced.

The “real street Mexican tacos” outright sucks. Street vendors in Mexico would be insulted with this garbage. The steak was dry as a Mexican desert. Lacked flavor. They put poorly diced tomatoes and nasty iceberg lettuce in a tin for toppings. The f—k? Just give me well seasoned steak, raw white onions, and cilantro. And some lime juice. Corn or flour tortilla. It ain’t hard, paisas.

Got a ground beef burrito and an enchilada. They just drowned the entire bland, unseasoned items in cheese. After a few bites, I became a tad nauseous. Beef tastes sus. Despite all the salty cheese, it still managed to be bland. Across the border and into the trash this dish went.

I may doctor up the chicken and beef fajita, because I can transform into something delectable. Nah. Scratch that. As I’m typing, I decided not to. This is getting a first class one way ticket into the trash.

Most Americanized Mexican restaurants are average. I expected average with hopes of great. I received neither. Instead, I was fed slop.

Verdict: avoid. There’s too many American-Mexican restaurants go take a risk with this slop.

My main advice to the owner(s): take most of the garbage off this large menu. Focus on making ten (10) dishes the best you can. Make it exceptional. Make it authentic. This garbage isn’t it. Menu is too large, a nono in the...

After airport dinner with family. I think our waiter was actually drunk. Or just a little crazy. He was funny for sure, but he knocked over our cheese dip with my margarita and acknowledged it, but never cleaned it up. I waited probably 10 or 15 minutes and he just laughed and carried on with another table, dealt with some to go orders, waving one of them at me and asking if it was mine....????? It was just weird. He forgot to turn our order in so it was 45 minutes before getting food and it 8pm there was literally one other family in there! He brought all but my wife's, he forgot all together to turn her chicken breast in! Got it 20 minutes later. Then either forgot or maybe he was trying to make up for it all, but didn't charge for our two margaritas (which were ok), none of the kids drinks, or the cheese dip he spilled and replaced it with. The food itself was ok at best. I regret ordering the Special Dinner, which is basically a bunch of bland versions of very runny ground beef. It was gross. Wife's chicken also bland. Won't be back. But waiter was entertaining and 'friendly' if...

We tried this place while we used the nearby electric car charger. It was dismal.

The tables were too close together, such that I couldn't sit directly behind the person at the next table, as there wasn't room for us both.

The service was hilariously awful. We asked for queso 4! times and never got it. My wife's drink sat empty most of the meal. When we asked the waiter for a refill (no small task as he was too busy milling around and socializing to ever check on us), he joked that we were "asking too much of him." Apparently so. We asked for the check before we finished eating, as we expected it to take a while. We ultimately just went to pay and told the cashier what we ordered, as the waiter still hadn't given us the check after saying he was getting it 3 separate times.

The food was lukewarm and utterly bland. The meat was totally unseasoned. The salsa was all heat and no flavor. The chips were unsalted. The rice was mushy and the beans were dry.

It was all...
