Bret's Basement Lounge — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This venue has been described to me as a family place, not for the presence of children but because people who gather here are familiar with their surroundings and their pub friends. It is a safe place; and who can determine what that is anymore...lol. It is a great location and stop for something cold to drink and pleasant chat, if that's what you seek. A little karaoke on saturday from 7-10 and a little past 10 sometimes, is enjoyable and relaxing. The proprietor; of which I have known several of them, is straight up, direct and watches over his domain. He's the kind of person you would choose to be looking out for everyone. I have been visiting Bret's Basement since 2009 by the weekly invitation from a Dynamite KJ who beckoned me to come karaoke there and I was have been hooked ever since. Quiet, peacful yet fun. Welcoming environment, laid back atmosphere good ppl. Ice cold beer. Great place to cool off after work or on a hot humid day. Pool table, golf & bolwing machines, jukebox "not annoyingly loud" Yummy bar tummy teaser pleasers if your in need of a qiick bite before heading home. Bad experience. Came in got two drinks and was cut off for no apparent reason. The lady who was working there also was bare foot with her feet on the bar? It’s a shame because this bar was my grandpas favorite bar and it also has my favorite bowling game and a great atmosphere/vibe with a pool table.
