At first glance, it was a quaint little place, and on an overnight final stop on Nashville after a long road trip, my friend and I took our chances to check this out for lunch. It was an extremely satisfying experience so we had to go twice - again for dinner. It was the best culinary decision we made on the trip. Food spoke for itself with simple and demystified recipes with no attempt to alter to suit the western taste. We went for the hottest options on every dish available. Taste was impeccable and left us stunning. As someone who’ve lived as a student in Thailand for four years, I felt like I was reminiscing my drunken Pad Thai searches back in a little street corner and had the satisfaction of eventually finding one. Do not underestimate the size of the prawns, the big tasty bushels of noodles and I’d recommend everyone to try their spice trays. The portions were filling and taste was as authentic as it comes. Good customer service and fast preparation right in front of you. It gets busy and queue gets long but it’s worth it. I’d also tried red curry, green curry and Tom Yum Noodle soups - and red curry is my top winner. If you’re a daredevil go for spicier scales. I’d definitely be visiting again, but this time with an emptier stomach to gorge down at this Nashville’s very own Degthai - a very underrated hidden gem.

Nolensville pike is home to some of the best international food offerings Nashville has to offer. Today I was in the area so decided to visit degthai. It has a decent sized parking lot, and a nice sized patio outside. It’s seat yourself and the menu is at the front counter. I ordered a Thai iced tea, the spring rolls and jays special chicken. The spring rolls were good but I would pass on them next time. The main entree portion was huge and I couldn’t finish half of it after the spring rolls. Try the Thai iced tea if you are a fan of “Starbucks style” beverages or even boba. It was really really good. I enjoyed it much better than anything I’ve had from Starbucks. The spring rolls and entree came out separately but within 30 seconds of each other. The food runner brought out the oil/spice tray with my meal. The chicken may have been a tad overcooked but overall it was very good and such a large portion. This will be a place I hope to revisit in the future to try some of the other dishes. Everything brought out to other patrons also looked really good. Something I noted was that the staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there, and a refreshing oddity was there wasn’t a tip option when I paid my bill. If you want to leave a tip make sure to have a couple dollars in cash when you arrive.

I read so many great reviews and decided to give this place a try. I have so many great things to say about this place and a couple of opportunities for improvement. What I loved: - Thai iced tea was delicious. Not too sweet, just perfectly bitter/tea-flavor and insanely delish. - the atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. Staff plays a big role in that. What I liked: - I ordered basil chicken (called something else on their menu and is with pork — but they replaced it with chicken as requested) I really liked it. I wish the chicken was minced like it usually is in basil chicken but nonetheless the food was tasty! Some of my friends tried red curry and Jay’s special and they all were happy with what they ordered. I liked red curry as well. - big parking lot, but gets full quickly. You can hang on for a bit if spots are full, they clear out fast as well. - free wifi if you need it What can be improved: - outdoor patio was reserved for a birthday party when I visited, so unfortunately we couldn’t sit outside. - limited menu Overall, I’d definitely go there again to try other items on the menu. I’d also recommend this place to a friend. Fun fact: they used to be a food truck before and you can spot a mini food truck at the restaurant.

My recent visit to Degthai in Nashville left me thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I felt I’m back in Thailand, with the authentic decor and vibrant atmosphere. The Pad Kra Paow and Thai tulip were the clear highlights of our meal, they were simply phenomenal, and tasted just like they do in Bangkok. I was particularly impressed by how fresh the ingredients tasted, and how perfectly they were seasoned. But what really stood out to me was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. With 10 staff members working in the kitchen, our food came out lightning quick, and our server was incredibly attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. Also, the simplicity of their menus help the customers to decide what to get. Overall, I can't recommend Degthai enough to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Thai dining experience in Nashville. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or simply looking for a great meal, you won't be disappointed by the quality of the food, the warmth of the staff, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I know I'll certainly be back one day!

Degthai completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly service and a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The ambiance was great—not too loud, cozy but modern, and perfect for a laid-back dinner. I was excited to see that they offer vegan options, which can sometimes be hard to find at Thai spots. I ordered the Tiew Gang Vegan and the crispy tofu, and both dishes were absolutely packed with flavor. The curry was rich and comforting without feeling heavy, and the crispy tofu was perfectly cooked—crunchy on the outside and soft inside. My husband went for the chicken red curry, and he couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. We both agreed that the balance of spice and flavor was spot on. One of the best parts was how quickly the food came out, but it still tasted fresh and made-to-order. It’s not often you find a place that nails both speed and quality, but Degthai definitely does. We left feeling satisfied, already talking about what we’ll try on our next visit. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving bold, authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Hands Down the Best Thai Restaurant in Nashville! I had the pleasure of dining at an incredible Pad Thai restaurant tonight, and I am absolutely blown away! From start to finish, this place delivered on every level. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. I started with the spring rolls and vegetarian dumplings, and let me just say, they were perfection. Crispy, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the night, though, was the chicken Pad Thai. It was fantastic—perfectly cooked noodles, rich flavor, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. I added a little lime and hot chili oil that came on the side, and it elevated the dish to another level. Absolutely delicious! The only downside was parking—the main lot is small and fills up quickly, so finding a spot took some effort. But trust me, it’s worth it. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Nashville. This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in town, and I can’t wait to come back! Photos don’t do any justice. Just come and enjoy!!!
