Since we were already in nashville and stayed the night, which side to pick up some breakfast at a local restaurant.
The word witch picked eggstravaganza.
Let me tell you what, this place was a damn good choice, a little more expensive than the mom and pop country kitchen joints, but the food is freaking amazing. The portions are well-balanced, unless you get a lot of extra sides.
The omelet was really good. Well, cooked loaded with extras plus the Serrano peppers were actually fresh, not pickled Serrano peppers, so they had a nice crunch and heat to them.
The fried green tomatoes were some of the best fried green tomates I have had in a very long time. Still not quite as good as my mamaws fried green tomatoes, but most country kitchens either rush 'em, and they end up too crispy and burnt, they're flavorless, or soggy by the time they come to your table. These were just perfect and add in the dipping sauce. I could eat just the green tomatoes.
The pierogis were an absolute treat compared to the store bought frozen things that you get normally. These were full of flavor, hearty, and you can easily make a meal out of just them by themselves.
The Word Witch says the skillet was great, egg cooked exactly like she likes, big portion of potates and loaded with cheese. It was enough grub that she couldn't finish in one sitting.
The angry teen says the Ruben was pretty decent, it wasn't the best she'd ever had, but it was still really good.
The goofy teen says the eggs were really nice and runny, the bacon was good and crispy, the cheesy grits for the side was really good. Just be careful not to burn yourself. Because grits hold heat, the pancakes were a little hard to cut, but that's just cause they're a little more done on the bottom and if you crush up the bacon and some of the eggs with the grits, it's really good.
We also had a bavarian cream croissant to try out and it was excellent flaky, crisp and not overly sweet.
The only downsides to the joint is one; the wait. If you get there a little later, then it is packed and there's a line out the door. But this is a very popular restaurant with very, very good food.
Downside, number two is the noise level. With all the conversations going on around it got a little bit loud. So if you have sensory issues or someone in your party has sensory issues, it might be too much noise for them, but there is outside seating if the weather is good.
So all in all, I would recommend this place for breakfast, if you're in the Nashville area, it is worth a try. It's one of those while you're here, try out the...
Read moreIn my EYES, an instant Nashville CLASSIC! Eggstravaganza won me over very quickly with it's warm and cozy atmosphere and was most certainly kept that way throughout my dining experience there, thanks to our lovely hostess! Her name escapes me but she attended to our needs in a most pleasant and loving manner which I thoroughly appreciated!
I ordered the chicken (not SPICY) and waffles but due to unforeseen kitchenware malfunctions with the waffle maker , I switched my order to pancakes. I then received a partial refund due to the mishap which was also a classy touch that I appreciate but fortunately for me, the kitchen staff pulled through and I was able to actually have the chicken and waffles dish I originally ordered and keep the substitute pancakes as compliments from the kitchen! tips glasses out of respect
The dish itself was INCREDIBLE! It was my first time trying chicken and waffles ever! The chicken was slightly crispy and tasted so fresh to bite into! The waffles were neat and crispy as well! Topped it all off with some syrup and quite frankly, I don't know if I can have chicken and waffles from any other place from here on out! They were that GOOD and between you and I leans in close the American Breakfast isn't too shabby either! ;)
Anyway, thank you to all the staff for a tremendous experience and I will definitely pay you all another visit when I'm in the area! If you're still deciding on whether or not to come to this restaurant, please DO SO!

Read moreI've always been a breakfast person, and often enjoy breakfast for any meal of the day. While I don't deny I'm the "King of Egg McMuffins," there are times I seek a more "civilized" breakfast, especially on the weekends. This is a more difficult task than one might assume, with full-service breakfast places few and far between. But when I stumbled upon Eggstravaganza Cafe in Nolensville, TN, I knew I had discovered a new "go-to" breakfast joint. Tucked-away in a small strip mall, Eggstravaganza is deceptive when you walk in. There are maybe 7 tables in a room about the size of a mid-size, walk-in master's closet, but fortunately the wait was minimal. After ordering at the counter, my latte was delivered within minutes, and my food soon followed. The latte was surprisingly good, setting the stage for one of the best breakfast experiences I have had since the pandemic started. I ordered an omelet and a single waffle, and both far exceeded my expectations. The omelet was hot and the ingredients fresh, and the waffle cooked perfectly. My only qualm with this restaurant is the size of the dining room. I enjoy taking my time, having several cups of coffee and going through my emails. I found myself almost hurrying through breakfast, acutely aware that others were waiting on my table. But this is a minor issue that will in no way deter me from becoming an Eggstravaganza regular. The service is good, the price is right and the food is...
