Let me begin by saying that I've lived under the assumption that in order for food to be really tasty, something with a mother was going to have to be processed. Or, outside of that, it's going to need to have gluten to stick it together and make it taste good. I tried not to think about it. I love animals and I'm not thrilled to be consuming their byproducts. But until today, I had yet to experience anything vegan or gluten-free that challenged my very hard-line belief that food can either taste good or be good. Which beings me to today. I found myself in Tennessee and happened upon this bakery in Nashville. My better half assured me that my picky sensibilities and health-avoidant self-destructive dining habits would not be able to tell these were treats designed to fit the need of the health conscious consumer who actually cared about what goes into their bodies. Sure. I've heard that before. Still, I love her and rolled with it. She tends to be right about a lot. So I ordered a vegan gluten free brownie. I took a bite. This was not an okay brownie. It was a very good brownie. As in, this is a excellent brownie, period. Not a good vegan brownie, but an OUTSTANDING brownie that just happens to be vegan. On to more of the gluten-free offerings, while not vegan, I'm guessing are made with the same level of care as the miracle brownie. The rest of our party snacked on Pop-Tart style pasties, which I was assured tasted superior to whatever Kellogg is extruding on their factory line. We tried scones and cupcakes that also made their gluten-based counterparts look silly in comparison. I know there are people who have a good reason to seek out gluten-free food, and this bakery must be a boon for them. But what I'm saying is this ... this is excellent food and the fact that it's gluten-free is just makes it all the more surprising. The bakery was also immaculately clean and the staff was super friendly. It's clear that a lot of love and pride has been put into everything. We will definitely return whenever we are in Nashville.

I’ve only been gluten free a couple of years because of an auto immune disease so I feel my tastebuds can still decipher how baked goods should taste šŸ˜‚. I’ve tried A LOT of GF products with most going in the trash because I’d rather eat something else. Enter GF GOOSE. They are the real deal guys. I had a crueller (unbelievable) and a strawberry pop tart (delicious). Both were delicious, light, not dry, and not disgustingly sweet. They hit it out of the park. They had a wide variety of biscuits, scones, cookies, cupcakes, and cakes. You can even buy an individual slice of chocolate cake! I ordered a pumpkin pie and biscuits for my thanksgiving this year I was so impressed. I’m excited to be able to join in the thanksgiving feasting instead of saying ā€œno I’m gfā€!

When I first saw there was going to be a bakery near my house I was very excited. On opening day, there was a huge line and I was a little hesitant about trying vegan bread because you know... vegan/gluten-free bread. I waited until "the storm would calm down". Of course, I knew it was going to be different and I am glad the owners are doing something great with their product. Unfortunately, I did not find it appealing to taste. Dry, crumbling, cold, and very little selection of products was what I saw. Taste-wise, the first bite tasted like the Quest protein bars, and did not like that. I'm hoping product-taste can improve

The baked goods here are undeniably wonderful, but the owner's behavior was shockingly unkind. I drove quite a distance to pick up some treats for my son, and I was already having a tough day, visibly emotional (which, of course, wasn’t their fault). When I kindly asked why I couldn’t pay over the phone, the owner responded in a cold and dismissive manner. Instead of showing even the slightest empathy or understanding, she became defensive, stating, ā€œWe have people come from other states—you’re not the only person who drives far.ā€ There was no apology, and her attitude only made me feel worse.

A simple, kind response could have made all the difference—something like: ā€œI’m so sorry you weren’t able to get the items you wanted. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, but we’d love to have you visit us again tomorrow.ā€ That’s what common decency looks like.

To make matters worse, when I messaged her on Instagram to politely share feedback about my experience, her response was dismissive and unprofessional. She claimed she didn’t need to apologize because they did nothing wrong and included other unkind comments. She later deleted the message, likely realizing how unprofessional it was, before blocking me and labeling my feedback as ā€œharassment.ā€

Great baked goods are not an excuse to treat customers poorly. Please consider supporting small businesses that value their customers and treat them with kindness, not just as a...

I’ve tried to walk in here on 2 different occasions. Both times I believed I was coming in during business hours that are stated on there google page. Both times I have come in/ tired to come in, the employees have been so rude. The first time the employees had closed early (not to my knowledge) due to selling out. I tried to open the door and I was greeted with nasty looks and motioned to go away. I decided to give it another chance and go back in to buy a few things for a birthday. I walked in right as they opened at 7am because I have to work.( I have now looked and yes I was mistaken on the closed days BUT even if I hadn’t looked at google: 1.the doors were open 2.lights on 3.people working. I would have walked in anyway) I was greeted with ā€œ um yes? What are you doing?ā€ ā€œhi ! it said you guys were supposed to be openā€ ā€œ well we aren’t, we are prepping for tomorrow.ā€ ā€œ dang that’s puts a damper on things. i’m buying for a birthdayā€ ā€œ What?ā€ ā€œ I would’ve been buying for a birthdayā€ Keeps looking at me nastily and then silently gestures me out locking immediately behind me I know I have never eaten here but I will never try it due to the lack of kindness I have experienced from their people. I’m not asking for someone to be over nice to me. Just looking for someone in the customer service industry to not be snippy...
