China King — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Ordered sesame chicken for takeout and overall it was a great experience! Excellent customer service at pickup, the food was cooked fresh and packaged well so that it was still steaming hot when we got home.

The sesame chicken alone was so delicious that we will be returning again. The pork fried rice and plain lo mein were delicious, but a bit on the heavy side as we could taste a lot of oil. This wasn't a deal breaker, it just meant that we ate less than planned. The serving size is Big and lasted two meals for me, and three for my husband. A small detail that I loved is that the takeout containers were microwave safe and pretty sturdy, so we can add them to our leftover container collection.

This appeared to be a small, family-run or managed restaurant and it will definitely be our go-to Chinese restaurant...

We ordered from this place with high hopes due to the 4 star review on Google. We did check Yelp and should have realized that a half a star difference might matter! Lol.

Needless to say The food is terrible. It’s not even subpar Chinese. I ordered house lo mein with no pork. It was extremely salty and the chicken was rubbery. It was very hard to eat. My fiancée ordered General Tso chicken. It was too crispy with very little taste. The plain fried rice was blah. I tossed my food the same day. My fiancée took hers to work to attempt it again for lunch but decided the chicken tasted burnt and she wasn’t going to eat it. All in all it was a waste of $20 bucks. But now we know!

Oh, the spring rolls were trash too.

We are going to stop trying to find good Chinese food in Nashville. Clearly it is never...

My daughters love Chinese! And since moving to Sugar Valley we order at China King ALOT. We used to live up the street so No 1 Chinese was our fav. But China King is always fresh. We get the beef & broccoli and the sweet & sour chicken. The flavor is there. The reason behind the 4 stars for food is sometimes the Lo mein has little bristles all throughout. They Lo mein has also been a little bland but that’s not always! The place is really clean so I’m assuming they are using some sort of brush for flavoring the food. We ordered orange chicken once and the bristles was there as well..Overall the place is really decent especially on a night when you don’t feel like cooking. Also, the customer service is superb...
