Hot Stuff Spicy Chicken and fish — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

All right, the following review is solely based on the food. Not the workers.

My group and I had doordash pickup from this restaurant. On September 28th 2024. We ordered for six people, and spent over $120.

I cannot speak for their experiences with their food, just from what we all shared around the table. This is solely based on my experience with the food that I ordered.

I ordered a side of coleslaw, and a chicken breast meal, and sweet heat, with some french fries.

When I received the order, the first thing I ate was the coleslaw. Mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about.

However, the main course which was the chicken breast, and the french fries. Was absolutely horrible, and I say this because the chicken was fully unseasoned, absolutely no taste at all with the meat, even the skin. The french fries were half soggy, and half stale. No clue how that's even possible. I could only eat half of it. Because it was a lot of money.

The worst part about the experience with this food, it wasn't even 30 minutes after eating it. Then I had to go to the bathroom, and force myself to vomit to get it out of my system, because it was making me completely sick to my stomach.

Not sure if there was an off night for where the people working, or if they just did not care for a massive order that came in around 8:00 p.m. from doordash. But I am fully turned off from this place.

For the rest of my party, who ordered from here, this is all based off what they have said, and I'm just relaying to further my review.

The macaroni was just wet noodles with oil. Apparently. The okra had no seasoning, and was extremely soggy. The fried pickles were saturated in grease. The chicken tenders were not seasoned at all. The big box of fries, that come with all the toppings. We're so soggy, and apparently overdone at the same time. That they melt it to the paper that they were laying on, causing people to have to basically pick paper out of their fries while eating. Some fries even had chicken bones in them.

Again, the main meal was based off my experience, and the second portion of this was based off of what was said around the table about the other parts of the food.

I personally will not be returning, or requesting food from this place again. I'm really hoping it's just a off night, but if this seems to be something that continuously happens here from other reviews.

Well, hopefully dine-in is a lot better...

First off, if you expect even decent customer service you won't get it here. The staff is extremely rude and quick to give attitude when it definitely isn't called for. Example: My fiancé had asked for extra ranch with our meal when ordering. Yeah, sure thing. Food comes out, they open the box, and what do you know? No ranch. Okay. We ask again, very polite and not at all upset. People make mistakes and forget things. Instead of just getting the ranch for us and having us be on our way, we get an eye roll and nasty look as if WE had done something wrong. She turns around and sarcastically holds out the ranch we had asked for from the get go. This isn't an isolated occurrence either. There are plenty of eye rolls and attitude to go around. That being said, the food here is amazing. When they actually prepare it correctly that is. This place is so hit or miss with spice levels and seasoning. I can't do super spicy foods since it upsets my stomach, so I stick with mild since the heat isn't too high but there's still good flavor. As soon as I took a bite, I knew these were NOT mild tenders. These tenders were so hot I couldn't even finish them. I had to stop halfway through my first tender, and then I had to deal with a burning mouth, lips, and upset stomach. Yes, this place has decent prices, but you aren't guaranteed to get what you paid for. I would honestly recommend just paying a little more and getting better quality food...

EDIT: Totally a hit or miss place depending on who's working...been back a couple times since my last review, and the service is either decent, or horrible. Visited at about 8:30pm, weren't that busy, girl at the front was extremely rude, whatever...I'm going to stop talking about her. The food...The food was cooked, but our order was completely wrong and the spice level (which they advertise), varied from piece to piece, almost like they just threw a bunch of random pieces in together. Some of the fries were CLEARLY seasoned (hopefully accidentally) with their HOT seasoning, and others were cold and spongy. Back to the girl up front...she was sassy and rude when she called my order number, rolled her eyes when she opened the box to show me my order, and when I saw there was NO ranch at all (I ordered and PAYED FOR extra ranch), she rolled her eyes once again and very sarcastically threw like, 6 things of ranch in my bag...NEVER going back after dark, Prince's is open later just a couple miles down the road, better service and food. I'll give it one more chance, but other than that, PASS ON...
