Let me preface this by saying I wasn't a fan of the other places that came before before Yoshi Sushi & Thai. That being said, everything about my experience here was phenomenal! This is the restaurant that made me feel compelled to make a Yelp account and write a review. (Also the place that made me feel compelled to write the same review on Google Maps). The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is great. They're super kind and do their job well. I never found myself lacking refills, and the food was served promptly.
On to the main reason I write the review! I ordered fried rice with beef and a ruby roll. The fried rice was pretty darn good, but the ruby roll was easily the best sushi I've ever had! And I LOVE sushi and have had a TON of sushi in my life. I honestly couldn't believe it! It was better than anything I've ever had at Samurai Sushi. Better than anything I've ever had at The Wild Ginger. (Not to mention the presentation was really cool). Needless to say, I've got a new favorite sushi place. If you're skeptical, go try it. I think you'll find it really is THAT good.
I give it the highest of recommendations. It was...
Read moreI’ve been going to Yoshi for more than 4 years now at least every 2 weeks sometimes once or twice a week. Never had complaints and always tip very well. Well we went on Sunday Sept 7th and then again on Wednesday Sept 10th. Everything was good with the exception of the Shrimp Lo-mein that we ordered. The dish smelled funny like the shrimp was spoiled. Told the waiter that it didn’t taste good and the dish smelled bad only to be told that they wouldn’t change the dish for just simple fried rice or remove the dish from my ticket. I didn’t complain and kindly just said ok but you can trash this because something was wrong with it. We ordered 4 different things and everything was good but the shrimp dish. Needless to say they still charged me for the dish. I paid the $100 tab but I will not be going back. I’ve spent way too much money in this establishment over the years to be treated like that. There are a couple of other Thai restaurants that are much better that will be getting my business going forward. Just very disappointed in...
Read moreNormally when I go to a new place I find one dish I love and that's all I will ever get again. I don't like rating restaurants on the food because my tastes won't carry over to the next customer. Yoshi's is exceptional in that it has me coming back to try something new.
My two favorite dishes are the Panang Curry and the Massam(Sp?) Curry. Heavy coconut cream makes these curry dishes sweet and spicy with delicious veggies mixed it. I am in love with this stuff.
The atmosphere is quiet with some nice jazz music playing most says. They don't deliver, which is unfortunate, but I wont complain about eating there.
They also have sushi but I can't bring myself to not get the curry to try it lol. Hopefully someone with more self control can go and tell you how that is.
Staff is also very attentive but not invasive or overbearing. I dont need to ask for watwr refills when my food is spicy, they're right there with a pitcher. 10/10 one of my favorite restaurants...
