El Patio Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Natchitoches

went in and was greeted and seated without wait and they were busy. chips and salsa was delivered shortly after being seated. a little bit longer our drinks were ordered, waiter took everyone's order but my husband and turned and walked away before my hubby can say anything. after awhile our drinks were delivered and my hubby was able to get his drink order. food was made as we requested. our dinner out at El patio was an average experience as any other restaurant not perfect not bad just normal and typical as can be. however, what did ruin our family dinner was a table full of drunk college kids that were loud and obnoxious. I had my elder mother and young children there in a family environment restaurant suppose to be enjoying an early dinner, 430/5 PM. however we couldn't due to the loud, ride, behavior and profanity of these young individuals. they acted ad if they had no upbringing, care, common curiosity, respect, and manners. my mother was embarrassed for their families and was not able to really eat her mea. we asked for the manager, he was a young guy and when we explained that college kids were so loud that we couldn't e en hear eachother when talking and the rude behavior and loud profanity coming out of these kids mouths in a family environment restaurant with older people and young children, that it was offensive and rude. the young manager acted as if he really didn't care. however, he did approach the quieter side of the table and asked them to tone it down, which they didn't have a problem and was apologetic. the others identified of that table was just carring on like nothing with no care in the world. needless to say nothing else was done, we asked for the...

What a miserable experience!!! Negative stars if I could!

When we walked in the hostess was not friendly at all. She didn’t greet us and had a mad look on her face the entire time. That should have been my cue to turn around and leave.

Our waiter was pretty nice until he got my order wrong. He acted and treated me like it was my fault. I ordered the 3 chili enchiladas dinner with cheese on the inside. He brought me a plate of 3 enchiladas with BEEF on the inside. I don’t know how that happened because I NEVER once mentioned BEEF! I kindly told him my order was wrong and apologized. I should have never apologized because I had no fault in my order being wrong. He took the order back to the kitchen and a little while later returned with inedible enchiladas. The tortillas were still raw and had “chili water” on top of them. The first plate that was incorrect looked delicious even though it was not what I ordered. I guess I should have just kept the wrong order. It obviously angered them that THEY messed up my order.

I was literally left speechless when I tried my food. I didn’t even bother saying anything else about it to the waiter. There is no telling what they would have done to my food or what they would have put on the plate again. I do regret not asking for a manger though.

This place is absolutely delicious!! The bartender, Juan, from Columbia is a real mixologist and makes the most incredible craft cocktails. We had a presidente margarita and asked for a mezcal cocktail and he made an authentic cocktail (I don’t remember the name, but it’s in my picture) and they were out of this world amazing. He takes the time and care and is super passionate about his drinks and you can taste it!!!!! I would come back just to have drinks here.

My fiancé and and travel the world and also live in Utah where there is an abundance of Mexican food. We always order the Molcajete when available and this place is in the top for sure for theirs!!! Very authentic to the place in Mexico the owner is from. He has brought the kitchen staff from his home town and the flavors are absolutely incredible. We have never had the spices quite like this one and the creaminess from the cheese. It is amazing!! We will 100% be back. Maybe even tonight for another cocktail!!!
