This is for Los Bandidos, 110 S Twin City Hwy, Nederland, TX 77627. Week of 2/21/2025 I got a couple of breakfast tacos here; simple bacon and egg ones. Not an unpleasant taste but nothing remarkable either. I noticed from the open end of one, there wasn't much color to the egg which I thought at first was egg white (from a failure to whip the egg while scrambling) but after opening it, I discovered the egg was whipped enough but it was the egg itself. The eggs were the palest shade of yellow I had ever seen, Los Bandidos must have bought the absolute cheapest eggs from the most malnourished chickens they could find. After seeing it, I decided to do some additional inspection. The bacon was not cooked enough to get the fat out and there were a lot of pieces of the stranded soft fat in the tacos. I know some people like their bacon soft but, on tacos, I am used to almost all of the fat being cooked out of it. Overall, it was not very appetizing.
One more thing, I had a long hair (obviously not mine) in my mouth while eating. Normally I wouldn't mention a one-off like this (no one's perfect) but, while in the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice the girl at the counter had her hair net pulled up extra tight around her hair. However, when she handled my food, it was already packaged from behind the wall. It made me wonder if the cook was wearing a hair net.
I doubt I try this one again but I'll keep looking for good breakfast tacos here in...
Read moreI always like to try new restaurants when I see them but this place was right under my nose and I didn't notice it for 2 years while I work at the apartments across the street. So I like to try a little bit of everything to see what my favorite is. Well everything I tried was great and there's still some other things I really wanna try that I didn't get to the first time, and the fajitas looked juicy well seasoned so I'm really looking forward to that. Usually food this good cost a lil more and I'm willing to pay it, but they were super cheap AND one of the better taco places in the area.
So...TLDR; cheap tacos ($2-$4) and much more, that taste better than expensive tacos,...
Read moreThis place is right around the corner from my shop and me and all of my employees can’t stop eating here. We’ve gotten addicted to the street tacos which have become a weekly staple. Just had the breakfast tacos (Rancheros plus bacon no cheese) and it was cooked perfectly. I’ve enjoyed menudo and various Mexican styles soups and all of the soups I’ve had here are delicious. Glad to have another delicious alternative to Tex Mex in the...
