Bill's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Neshannock Township

First of all, the food in this place is absolutely delicious. The selection is fantastic. Best sandwiches and French fries in town. My family and I visit at least once a week. The service is fantastic, too. Everyone is friendly, and they never make a mistake. When we eat inside the restaurant, no worries. But my family and I have been getting a lot of takeout there recently, and their containers are horrible! Last week, I had to throw out three meals because the heat from the food melted the Styrofoam. There were literal holes in the container. Now this is after I've told them 100 times to LINE the containers to avoid this. My husband has told them another 100 times. Sometimes they do, and it's okay. But other times, it melts through. And that's a health hazard. I've talked to friends and neighbors who have had the same complaint. Unfortunately, we are not getting takeout anymore from there because of the ongoing problem with them not properly lining their takeout containers. Now many people wouldn't care. But I am posting this for those who do care and are unaware of this type of a problem. From a medical site: Heating polystyrene, also known as Styrofoam, can cause chemicals to leach into food. Bill’s Sandwich on Wilmington ave., across from McDonald’s. Probably and I am being serious, the most customer centric staff of any place I have been. And they sell dogs and sandwiches? Well, that, and daily homemade soups. Wedding soup on Thursdays is as good as any other I have ever had. Stand your spoon up in the bowl full of greens, meatballs, chicken, orzo or some small pasta thingy. The stick has a great full chicken flavor. They have all these other soups too, but the wedding soup! Oh, and love the philly steak. On the hot sandwiches this place, heats the roll on the flattop. My pic has extra meat, and mushrooms onions and peppers. And please, get the yellow American cheese instead of the mozzarella. It complements the savory beef and onions so darn well. Oh, the service, why are they so darn nice? I mean everyone I’ve been in contact with that works there. I’m pretty sure it isn’t because of me. They have a drive through too, but just go inside. I usually call my order in. Oh! The gyros! I almost forgot about the gyros! They flattop the gyro meat to like a very slight crispness, and the lettuce is shredded. Where to start.. I'm not one to complain by any means.. HOWEVER.. I went through the drive through and ordered some food and pulled up to the window only to witness the lady that was making some of the food had gloves on and was touching her face took her finger and wiped her nose and scratching her head and then started to finish up making the food. 🤢🤮 that's just down right nasty! Maybe yall should teach your workers to change out their gloves and not be cheap. This is also a problem when answering the phone or handling money. Same gloves touching all over the food. I told the girl at the window what I just watched. I said either I want a refund for the food or yall can change your gloves and I'll sit right here at the window and watch them remake everything. They had such an attitude all over a pair of $0.02 gloves. Yall need to be more professional and clean in the food industry! That happened about a month ago now and haven't been back since! Which is a shame everytime I'm in the area I like to stop by and grab some food just like anyone else. We love their food, but we just can't get the thought of this out of our heads.
