Mama Janes Eatery — Restaurant in Neshannock Township

I went in tonight with my family. We were seated and waited about 15 minutes for someone to come get our drinks, even though they were walking around us. When someone finally came we gave our drink orders and my husband ordered a cinnamon roll, which he saw in the case. We waited a FULL 30 minutes before our cinnamon roll came. In the meantime, we ordered our meals- 1 dinner, 1 sandwich, 1 salad. We waited almost an hour for them. We were never asked for drink refills. When I went to check out, I went to the register but there was no one there so I waited. Another couple got up to pay and they were waited on right away, while I waited. She did not ask me "how was everything?" but I told her that I was very disappointed. She shrugged her shoulders and said " I can't do anything about that" She should have offered to have me speak with a manager, but she did not. I asked for a senior discount since I always got one in the past, but I was rudely told "We don't give that tonight." When I got home, I spoke with the manager. She could not get off the phone with me fast enough- she told me that they were short-staffed tonight. I said that is not MY problem and it should NOT be the customer's problem and if that was the case, then we should have been informed and should not have been waiting for an hour wondering where our dinner was. Ot was my first time trying this restaurant. We (niece and I) went on a Saturday afternoon. The place was a bit busy. We waited 5 to 10 minutes for a table to become available and then were seated. No one took our drink order for another 15 minutes. When the waitress did, we also ordered our food and I asked for mine with ranch (the menu says it comes with ranch) chicken tender melt and FF. When our food came there was no ranch so I asked nicely for it. Almost finished all my food (another 15 or so minutes later) when we were checked on and asked for ranch again... Finally got it, after asking 3 times. My niece, ordered the special from the board when we walked n.v in (it wasn't listed on the menu under dinner and specials or anywhere). Very disappointed after having a great meal before here. I was recommended their steak salad in the bread bowl actually called I believe the Pittsburg salad to come with fries meat onion pepper cheese tomatoes and not sure what else but did a take out order. Paid 25.95. For a steak and a chicken salad. Drove 30 min home to have 2 salads all lettuce meat and very few fries ina bread bowl. I called and spoke to the person who I believe waited on me was at the register and I asked if the salads were to come with tomorrow’s pinion cheese etc and he said yes.
