The food is Excellent. The owner is so sweet but...... the one Son is honestly I hate to say this is the most Miserable human I’ve ever had to deal with. He is so rude I’m so polite and it’s just really disappointing that I’m giving you money and a great tip and he acts like he is doing me a favor. I just can’t grasp it. What happened to customer service.Johny Jrs is just as good and the Entire staff is very nice. I would rather give my money to anyone else based on this One Persons Major Attitude Probably. Buddy my best Advice to you is get a different job Bc you will eventually run your family’s business into the ground just Bc You don’t want to be there. We get food here whenever we're in this area of NJ. It can't be beat. Their pizza is really good. But, for me their star is their red gravy (marinara). It's so perfect. It's not too acidic and is perfectly seasoned. It just tastes amazing. I love their chicken and eggplant parms. But, my favorite meal is just meatballs, red sauce, and linguini. It's perfection. The sauce (like I said) is so good, the meatballs... wow.... the meatballs are huge and really delicious (and they give you 3!), and their takeout pasta is perfectly cooked. The linguini being perfectly al dente when I get it back to my hotel room is something I love. It's such a great spot. Their moz sticks rock too. They come with some of the awesome sauce....

Simply the best! I've enjoyed pizza at this pizzeria since it opened in 1968. I went to school with Sal and Joe, who took over the business from their father, Carmine. My return trips to NJ are few, but I always return to Carmine's for pizza and likely a sit-down meal. The food and service is excellent with a cozy dining room experience. It is BYOB. A Quick Mart is across the street and the Shop-Rite is a two minute walk away. More than a pizzeria, the menu offers many Italian favorites fresh and made in the Ristorante.
