El Mezcalito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Nevada

Ok, so this review is kinda a mixed review. So I'm gonna explain each sector.....FOOD, was good but bland (definitely needed more seasonings) but outside of that, it was good...minus all the fatty meat I received in my shredded beef for my supreme nachos. The atmosphere was beautiful, I JUST WISH THERE WAS MORE and more things on the walls as the walls were big and bare. Decor and seating booths were gorgeous! Bar, was gorgeous! Customer service was TOP NOTCH & my server went above and beyond to make us happy, even without us asking. She offered me ideas and different choices (this was our first visit) and I APPRECIATED IT!! I will definitely return and give it another try but imma order something different and see if the flavor is different and more. My only real issue was the lack of flavor. As someone who is native to California and KNOWING true authentic Mexican food growing up in a heavily hispanic influenced lifestyle, the lack of flavor was kinda disappointing, but it's ok...No biggie, I'll try it again in the future. Visited on cinco de Mayo 2021. They were quite busy people waiting the entire time we dined. Really liked the flavor of the beans. Not your same old side of beans. The carnitas were flavorful and had a wonderful thin crisp bark on some pieces. The side of corn tortillas were warmed up the right way, on the griddle. The table salsa has a little kick and my wife enjoyed that it had only a touch of cilantro. We will return to try other menu items. Update: second visit 02/15/2022. Had quesa birria tacos. It was an amazing combination of well prepared beef and cheese in corn tortillas, lightly fried after assembly. Then each bite you dip the corner in the au jus! Loved it. Need an extra napkin with this one! P.S. pay no attention to reviews from cheapskate haters that expect you to provide excellence for no profits. Maybe you should raise your prices to keep the riffraff out. I would absolutely pay more for your food than many other...

Went at 5:45 on Saturday. Chips were greasy, not salted, and thick. Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce and the guacamole had no cilantro or spices in it. 2 margarita flavors not available. We then waited an hour for our order while others who cam in around us were served their orders first. When we did the get food it was gross. Had steak tacos with 3 bites of steak. No beans no rice, no flavor. Friend had mushy, strange texture enchiladas, and other friend wouldn't eat what she ordered. Had to leave for a show or else i's have asked to talk to who ever owned this place and asked them why they would serve people food like this We paid 81$ plus 12$ tip for food that we could not eat. 100$ for a horrible meal. You guys should be ashamed. Never again. You all need to fix your food...
