T.E. Alderman's portrays themselves as a themed fancier restaurant between food names and the price. I expected some more fun and higher quality food. I got what is a basic chicken salad (4$ to add the 1/3 of a chicken breast), and as I did enjoy the bacon flavor on my croutons and chicken it worries me. No where on the menu is there any indication that the food is cooked in bacon grease. Making me worry about cross-contamination. Along with this, none of the employees wore a hair/beard net in the kitchen. (I did not find a hair in my food, just observed the through the open dinner window) As for the decor, it does seem like they are trying to be fancy while cutting corners. Prints with no frames, paper napkins with abnormally large silverware, ceramic and metal dishes, and plexiglass stemmed glasses for soda. The service was good, and the waitress remained on point throughout the night and polite. She didn't visit too often or too little with the nearly empty restaurant. It seemed like T.E. Alderman's is still in the works for being a memberable restaurant. If they make the year, I will try them again. But at this current point, the price of food and an awkward mix of fancy and cutting corners just isn't worth returning.

This place was great. The bayou chicken sandwich was delicious. The roaster carrots are way better than you’d expect - amazing! Clean, great service, pleasant atmosphere, very polite staff. Glad I happened upon this place on my work trip. Highly recommend!

We visited tonight for the first time. Had a fantastic tomato basil soup, chicken & noodles, whipped ricotta dip. The service was spot on and the building is beautifully restored. Definitely check it out!

If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience that beautifully blends the charm of the 1920s with the modern demand for gluten-free cuisine, look no further than T.E. Alderman’s. From the moment you walk through the art-deco doors, you are transported back to an era of jazz, flapper dresses, and impeccable style, all while enjoying a meal that caters to gluten-free diets without sacrificing flavor or creativity.

The ambiance is a delightful nod to the past, with vintage decor, soft lighting, and a soundtrack of swing-jazz tunes that sets the perfect backdrop for your meal. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, eager to guide you through the menu and make recommendations that suit your taste.

Now, let’s talk about the food — and oh, what a treat it is! Every dish is made from scratch, showcasing an impressive commitment to quality and flavor. The gluten-free bread is a standout; it’s warm, fluffy, and has the perfect crust that you’ll want to savor with every bite. Whether you’re enjoying it as a side or as part of a gourmet sandwich, it’s clear that they’ve mastered the art of gluten-free baking.

The homemade pasta in the Mac and cheese is another highlight — can you believe it’s gluten-free? The noodles have a delightful chew and are prepared to perfection, served with rich, cheesy sauce that definitely did not come from a can. You can taste the love and care that goes into each dish, making it clear that this restaurant is dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

The salads are vibrant and fresh, dressed in house-made salad dressings that enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients. Each ingredient shines, and the attention to detail is evident in every bite.

To top it all off, the dessert menu is not to be missed! From decadent cheesecake, light and airy tarts, to the homemade ice cream, you can indulge your sweet tooth without any worry. Each dessert is a delightful finale to your meal, leaving you wanting to come back for more.

In conclusion, T.E. Alderman’s is a gem that not only respects dietary restrictions but does so with creativity and flair. It captures the essence of the 1920s while providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for a night out with friends or a special date. If you’re in the area, make sure to pay a visit — you won’t be...

What a great stop! I went awhile back but wanted to keep sharing. Someone in our party had a gluten allergy. She has been here before and loved that the entire menu was catered for gluten free. Street parking right outside and we walked in and was greeted warmly. Main street almost hides this little gem. The name of the restaurant illuminated on the floor. We grabbed a great seat and got a full run down of the menu and specials. Table of 4 and we were treated like royalty.

The ambiance is warm here. The chef is an artist. They are super careful that all the foods don't come into contact with gluten. I have to say that if you walked in and ordered not knowing anything I mentioned above, you would never know that the entire menu is gluten free.

It was a brunch for us. I was very excited with the menu options. It was selective and well described. My mom was super excited about the chocolate chip pancakes and the waitress talked up the cinnamon roll. The Slap Jack meal was three chocolate chip pancakes. How can a pancake by fluffy and plump at the same time? You get the meat of your choice on top of that. I picked the sausage and it was full of flavor.

The other two at the table got The Early bird Shakedown. A very generous helping of hash browns, slow cooked brisket, cheese, white gravy, and eggs. The brisket on breakfast is divine. I stole a few bites from the hubby and it was savory and melted in my mouth.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. Although it was a little quiet, people started feed in. It's a great restaurant and I hope it gets the traffic it deserves. We about rolled out of there...

I went for dinner with my family of four plus two others. I'm the only person with gluten issues in the group. Based on the reviews I had seen I was very excited to be there. It's been over a month and I hesitated to write a review. I really want this place to succeed. But I feel a need to tell the truth. I did not have any symptoms so that was awesome. However every single person in our party thought the food was not very good. I had the big burger. Can't remember the name. It was so ridiculously huge that it was difficult to eat. That's ok. But the taste wasn't there. It was dry and severely over cooked. Based on how quick it came out I believe that the hamburger patty was precooked and then reheated for serving. It was the most dry burger I've had in a very long time. Overall it was very lacking in flavor. They took a weird spin on poutine and covered it in some kind of mild flavored cheese sauce instead of the traditional gravy option. It was just ok. I would much prefer a traditional poutine with GF gravy sauce. It's a stretch to call it poutine if it doesn't have gravy. There seemed to be some weird uncomfortable dynamic between the kitchen and the serving staff. We could overhear some interactions that seemed like there was tension. Every single person in our party from adults to kids stated how unimpressed they were with their meals. Based on that I have difficulty finding a reason to return. As a celiac speaking about a gluten free establishment that is hard for me to say too loudly. But...
