Port of Subs used to be great for a convenient and healthier option, due to price increases it barely seems worth it anymore. I recently got a large turkey sandwich and made it a meal, can you guess the price after a 15% tip? .... $25!
One sandwich with chips and a drink cost me $25, I was completely flabbergasted at the price. Must be why they don't clearly show the prices on the items like they did 5 years ago. Wait until you get to the register because most people will feel too guilty and committed to walk away from their meal they just had made to order. Their prices have gone up significantly faster than my wages. As it stands now I rather just run into a grocery store for a pre-made sandwich.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the food but I can't justify the price as it is now.
Edit: also, I forgot to mention the owner is often working and she loves to skimp on the toppings, even if you...
Read moreYears ago I used to go to a Port Of Subs in Northern California that was amazing. Unfortunately my experience at this one was far removed from my memories of the past. The clerk who made my sandwich did not give me all the toppings I asked for, and was very skimpy with the ones she did give me. Then she put so much mustard on it that the mustard pretty much drowned out the flavor of everything else. Because of the skimpy portions, it tasted like I was just eating mustard on a sourdough bun. Not sure why I wouldn’t just be given what I asked for, and charged appropriate price if what I wanted was more than what was standard. Clerk was also not very personable and was distracted by her cell phone in the middle of helping me. I have gotten far better sandwiches at the nearby Subway for the same cost I paid here. This was my first and last time at this...
Read more2nd time this place refuses to provide what's on the menu. At every Port of Subs I've ever been to, breakfast sandwiches are served ALL day, except this the first time I ordered from here is was late afternoon and I practicallyhad to get beg for her to make a breakfast sandwich. This time at 1130 am she says "we don't have eggs right now. " Funny, when I worked at port of subs that was one thing we always had on hamd. You need eggs to make your brownies, and other items. I guarantee you, she has eggs. She just has a phobia of salmonella, which she told me last time I was here. Such a bummer to have to ban this place for my company lunches. All because...
