I have been seeing this little Filipino restaurant on Jones and Robindale every time I go see my dentist so after my dental appointment today, I went straight there..plus, I love supporting small Filipino businesses..đŸ‡”đŸ‡ right of the bat, I noticed how small the place is...(I believe) there’s 4 tables for 4-6 people..I was the only one dining in before 11..I now live in Pahrump (have been for the past 8months) and as much as I love it out here, we don’t have any Asian stores..let alone a Filipino restaurant..so you could understand my excitement to finally get some Filipino goodies in me..I ordered PALABOK for dine in and siomai & Shanghai lumpia to take home..the cashier/server was nice. She was smiling when she came out and delivered my food saying “hope you’re hungry!” My first bite was awful
it was too salty
you can tell the sauce was homemade, NOT IN A GOOD WAY..I’ve tasted better with the instant palabok sauce packets..theirs has no shrimp flavor to it..the sauce was too watery and “broken”.. you can see the thickening agent separating from the liquid..I had a feeling that they used “flour” instead of “cornstarch”..I had to ask for “calamansi” hoping it will help salvage the dish, she handed me lemon juice instead which is fine with me..I had used all of it and it was still salty..😔 so I ended up just eating all the toppings, got up and left
maybe I could have said something coz it might have been one of those dish that they don’t make that often..but then again, I’m not a big fan of taking my food back to the kitchen. Not saying they would but I’ve seen way too many movies and videos of people messing with your food so I just cut my loses..đŸ«€

When visiting Vegas, we have a favorite local Filipino restaurant to visit, but we wanted to try something different. And I'm glad we did because it did not disappoint. We visited at around 10am on a Sunday, right when they opened, we were the first and only ones there. But by the time we left, the place was packed. + Very delicious, food; could totally pass for a homecooked meal. + Presentation was very traditional, felt like we were in the Philippines. + Clean bathrooms and very friendly Tito and Titas as staff. + Menu offered a variety of dishes with affordable prices. + Option of all you can eat buffet style Filipino food available - basic dishes like lumpia, soup, rice, friend chicken and fish, lechon. + Picture poster on the wall with lechon and othe fried Filipino food; underneath had a great sign about eating healthy to prevent heart disease. A few minuses: - The buffet presentation and coverage could be improved. - Two guy customers walked in, looked like they just played ball. Walked straight to the buffet, without washing hands. Worse, the guy started eating fried chicken, while filling up his plate. Not the restaurant's fault but some kind of policy should be put into place. Happily Hungry in Heels adds: Very casual restaurant, sneakers and flip flops... but if you're heading from a night out from Drais After Hours, heels and dressy shoes totally okay. Date of Visit: August, 2019

ago Can't really leave Vegas without having Filipino food since it's a place where there's massive choices of this unique cuisine. It's a small Filipino eatery, you order on the counter and they bring the food to you. It's a small mom and pop restaurant. It wasn't busy when we came, friendly service as expected. I had the longsilog and added extra egg and upgraded to garlic fried rice and it was heaven! Pork sinigang was good, huge chunks of pork ribs and loaded with veggies. BF enjoyed the chicken bbq. The only thing that was a huge disappointment was the inihaw pork belly, it tasted so bland and unseasoned, unmarinated and the grill marks made it so bitter to eat. Unfortunately that was $18, although I took it to go, I ended up throwing it out. Quite pricey, I paid $88 and felt weird that you're being watched adding the tip on the payment screen. I know, ladded an extra egg that was $2, upgraded to garlic rice $1 and an extra cup for $3. All that cost adds up. Typical Filipino, I didn't want to say anything about the pork belly. Honestly, it had a horrible taste. Don't ever order it. Other than that, the other items we ordered were good.

Terrible customer service and very rude staff (unfortunately we were not able to get his name, but he was around his 50s and is bald).

We ordered Inihaw na Bangus and Pancit last August 9, Friday, for pick-up. We were supposed to pick-up the food by 6pm but was only able to pick it up by 7:30pm. When we opened the fish, we noticed a very foul odor. We also noticed that the fish looked like it was cooked more than once, as it was heavily burned. Upon closer inspection we did confirm by the smell that that fish is spoiled and would be unsafe to eat. We have eaten several grilled fishes in the past and never did we smell anything this bad. The flesh also looked yellowish and dry. The pancit on the other hand was ok and didn't smell bad.

We immediately called them to inform them of what the fish smelled and looked like, they insinuated that it is our fault for not picking up the food on time. However, if this is the case, how come the pancit was not spoiled and only the fish? Also, it is the first time we heard of food being spoiled if not picked up immediately. We offered to go to their restaurant to return the uneaten fish. They said that they are about to close and we should just come by the next day. 30 minutes after, they called the person from our party who placed the order and asked us to return the fish. This was the first red flag on their part that showed inconsistency on their end.

We then went to their restaurant and found the store be already closed as this was already past 9PM. They opened the door for us, and found 3 of the staff cleaning up. We returned the fish and they accepted it without opening it or smelling it. They asked us if we want to have it replaced instead with a different item on the menu. At first we thought of just having it replaced by a different item but it was already way past dinner time and we immediately asked that they just return our money instead. They said that since credit card was used for the transaction, they would just cancel the charge for the fish. This would have been the end of it, and I would not be writing this review if the guy didn't argue with us and insisted that the fish was not spoiled.

Note that all conversations with them were in a civilized manner, we did not shout and we were not angry. We simply wanted to return the spoiled fish and have our money back. The fish was untouched except for a very small part that we cut out to inspect further (and eventually included in the foil wrapping when we returned it). On our way out, the lady by the register asked what was wrong with the fish and we again reiterated that it smelled really bad. Then guy in a arrogant tone said that the fish is not spoiled and he even ate it (without us seeing). We clarified that for us it is and that is why we returned it. There was no acknowledgement on their end that something might have been wrong with the fish, in fact he was insisting that it was not spoiled even up to the time that we were walking out of the door. Because of this, we just closed the conversation by confirming that they would just reverse the charge for the fish, and they said they will.

Then today, August 12, we still have not seen the reversal of the charge. My aunt called their restaurant to follow-up. She talked to the same guy from Thursday night's encounter and he said that they were actually expecting us to come back again as they would give the refund in cash as the lady by register who told us didn't actually know the correct process, another red flag. He also told her (again arrogantly) that next time we should not be ordering grilled items and should only order fried items.

If we'd known that this would happen we would have taken a photo of that fish and included it in this review. We have been loyal patrons of Tina's and have always ordered from them. But this is the last time that we would order. We would have let the incident of the rotten fish pass, but the rudeness and lack of credibility of the staff of this restaurant has turned us off of ever patronizing...

We visited this restaurant on Saturday night around 7:00 PM. Since they were closing soon and we didn’t plan on dining in, we ordered to-go. We placed a sizable order, which included pansit, lumpia shanghai, tapsilog, lumpiang hubad, 5 cups of rice, and bangus with salted egg.

The cashier, Josie, seemed friendly at first, but unfortunately, the experience took a turn for the worse. When we got to our hotel and unpacked our order, we realized the bangus (which cost $20) was missing. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to someone, who advised me to call back in the morning.

The next day, I reached out again, hoping for a resolution. To my surprise, I was told that I couldn’t get a refund and would have to come back to pick up the missing item. Given that we were out of town, returning to the restaurant wasn’t feasible. When I spoke with Josie again, she denied that a bangus was part of our order, even though I clearly mentioned the time and day we were there. Instead of checking the receipt, she insisted it wasn’t included, which only made me more frustrated.

Finally, after insisting, she agreed to check the duplicate of the receipt, but it was a struggle to get to this point. Honestly, if the bangus hadn’t been on the receipt or if I hadn’t paid for it, I wouldn’t have called in the first place. It was incredibly disappointing to be treated with such disregard, especially as out-of-town visitors.

Lesson learned: always double-check your order before leaving, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend this restaurant due to their poor customer service and lack of accountability.

Food doesn’t taste as good. Go somewhere else with better customer service and would...
