One star cause that's my option, food wise this place was fine I'm sure there are other plates I didnt try that are good, what ruined the experience was the server and it was mine and my families first time there. She came to ask if we needed drinks and our orders on time which was good but when we did end up ordering she was all over the place my husband asked for a carne milanesa torta and I asked for the carne milanesa plate. So she put both down as plates and when she repeated she stated them as 2 milanesa plates so my husband reminded her that it wasnt the plate but the torta which I can see her getting easily confused no problem but she kept saying plates and so he showed her the menu just to be sure they had the torta he wanted and she said ok I got it so she proceeded to ask my parents and brother their orders when she repeated back she looked at her notebook and said milanesa plates once again so we said no the torta and she said ok torta and we placed our order. When she came out she brought us both the same plate my husband frustrated, and she said I'm sorry but didnt offer to take it back either so he had to eat it. When she went to my parents she got they're orders wrong too so they let her know and she told them she'd bring out the tacos they asked for they asked for no cilantro or onions and she came back with cilantro and onion ones after back and fourth of her not bringing out what we asked and getting things wrong we just decided to leave it because it was becoming a hassle she even blamed the cook for getting the order wrong which I dont understand because hes just the one cooking what she tells him to. we speak Spanish were Hispanic and were speaking to her in both languages so I didnt understand why she kept messing up in the end my dad spoke to another woman and asked for a discount for the terrible service to which she replied all she could do was take off the drinks because her boss wasnt there and she couldnt take off big plates. She also mentioned this serve was new and was still learning but I feel that it's not an excuse and if she wasnt ready to handle that many orders she shouldn't have served a big group or atleast told us she was new and we would have understood but she just kept covering things up and acting like it was really the cook's fault and wouldnt really fix much. Overall my dad still ended up paying about $90 and he was mad he had gone through such bad service. Were never going back first and last time it felt so unprofessional at any other restaurant they would have discounted or fixed it. We go to a guatemalan family owned place and they always accommodate so I just thought the excuse was invalid. Fue muy incomodo comer aqui y no disfrute mi comida a nosotros no nos gusta quejarnos en restaurantes porque la mesera se le olvido algo ni peliamos por estas cosas pero la tipa...
Read moreHi, just wanted to echo other people on South Second Street. I'm not going to lower your stars doing so, but will in the future if the issue is not resolved. It's been years.
Others have mentioned the level of noise that occurs overnight from your business, mostly Friday to Sunday night. I always see someone responding to these reviews from South Second Street saying that "you reserve the right to serve people" late at night and serve people who work late and blah blah blah. That's not the problem. The problem is the years of LOUD, BLARING MUSIC at night. You want to serve people who work late or are awake late at night? That's completely fine, but SOME OF US HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY FOR WORK, AND NEED TO SLEEP.
You have every right to do business at whatever time and serve whomever. Again, that's not the problem. What you do not have the right to do is to violate the City of New Bedford's Noise Ordinance. Here, I'll copy/paste the law for you from the City's website: "Noises at commercial establishments. All noises at commercial establishments located in principally residential neighborhoods that menace the health, INTERRUPT OR DISTURB SLEEP of residents between the hours of 10:00p.m. and 7:00 a.m. are hereby prohibited;"
If you can't comply with the law: go change your...
Read moreIf it were possible to give no stars and a review I would I ordered here via the door dash app today after deciding to try something new which I don't do often I enjoy spanish food generally and mexican is certainly no exemption but my experience was absolutely horrible the food itself was abysmal and poor excuse for food by any standards I ordered chicken tacos and shrimp fajitas both of which were terrible the chicken inside the tacos was incredibly hard and dry overlooking other things I could complain about the 10 shrimp I got for 16$ were not even peeled at all full legs on them and undercooked to the point that some were cold inside the onions and peppers I got were totally raw not cooked at all and if those things weren't bad enough the worst part were the two white fibers resembling dental floss that I found in my refried beans prompting me to throw the entire rest of the meal away the only redeemable factor was the fact that the food arrived quickly that aside I'd advise elizabeth's by coffin ave new bedford if you're looking for great spanish food infact ive only ever written two online reviews one because the service was so great that I had to and this one because the food was so poor STAY AWAY FROM...
