I found CJs when searching for nearby restaurants in the area around my new place of work. I stopped in for breakfast about 2 weeks ago and quickly became a regular because the food was cheap and good for the price. It wasn't until a few days ago that I changed my mind about this place.
My coworker had sausage gravy and biscuits, but he only ate a few bites because the sausage gravy tasted awful. I had a taste and it was absolutely horrible. It tasted like melted plastic with salt, and it probably came out of a can.
I decided to try their coffee this time which I hadn't done yet. And as with every restaurant I go to, I always check the creamers to make sure they are cold if they say they need to be refrigerated on the label before I use them. CJ's has bowls of creamers at every table and in front of every seat at the counter. All of the creamer says it needs to be refrigerated but none of it was. It was all lukewarm!
When I was paying for my food, I commented on the temperature of the creamer in the lack of refrigeration. I then asked what they do with the creamers at the end of the day, and she said they put them back in the fridge!
So not only are they leaving the creamers out all day to spoil, they are then putting them back in the refrigerator and recycling them for the next day! This led to questioning what else they are leaving out and then reusing!
Sorry CJ's! I will not...
Read moreI'm a very kind person at heart so writing this review is hard for me because someone is going to get their feelings hurt, but everything that I'm about to say is true. The food was rated a D to me, the eggs were terrible, my wife ordered a vegetable omelet and the veggies were cut super big, we're not sautéed and they were RAW! The omlet was over cooked and brown to top it off. The pancakes were also rated a D, they tasted nasty to me, in fact O honestly could've made way better pancakes at home. The French toast was a C, the taste was decent but they were COLD! The home fries I also give a C, no complaints on them they were just decent. Now the service amazes me, the waitress seemed rude and threw our plates down on the table instead of putting them down gently, oh and by the way she didn't come back one time to check on us. The best experience was when I payed for the meals. The lady who rang me out which I think was the owner was extremely nice. Sad but I will never walk in there again, never. As a business owner myself customer service to me is the most important thing to have and when you fail at that on top of your food being bad that's a recipe...
Read moreWent to CJ's for breakfast with my sister-in-law. The staff was friendly and met us at we entered and told us we could sit anywhere we liked. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. COFFEE ☕ My sister-in-law ordered an egg and bacon breakfast sandwich and I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese, turkey bacon (which I've never had before), home fries which I shared with my sister-in-law, and a bowl of oatmeal with fresh strawberries. Everything was delicious! And for never having turkey bacon before, I couldn't tell that it wasn't real bacon! Tasted just like bacon! I had to share some with my sister-in-law to get her opinion. She liked it as well. The only thing that I didn't like was that the fresh strawberries on my oatmeal we're not fresh strawberries. But all in all it was...
