East Side Pizza — Restaurant in New Britain

I have ordered pizza from this place NUMEROUS amounts of times.Their pizza is to die for!I love the food,the curly fries especially.Now this one star comes from this call I JUST finished having.You guys had gave me a $10.00 off my next pizza.Reasons were because the condition of the pizza(super greasy,bread was soaked)an gave me the $10.00 off my next pizza NO PROBLEM!Now mind you I didn’t think to ask for a coupon over the phone seeing as I call you guys all the time for pizza,NOWHERE ELSE!Come tonight were I wanted to buy my normal light sauce extra cheese pizza.Called back because I remember my $10.00 off my next pizza.All to have this back n forth with the guy over the phone.Him telling me “I’m sure I remember giving you that coupon already”.so I replied “boss I haven’t ordered a pizza from you guys since”.All he kept telling me was I will check tomorrow An we will give it you next time implying I have to pay full price for the one I had just ordered.I am not the type of man to try to swindle my way to a cheap price for some pizza.This man made me feel like I was a lair an a manipulator.I am always kind an smiling,shaking hands when I see you guys.Never gave you problems even when my pizza was burned on one side.I have never been this upset before to leave any review on any site.I immediately called back after hanging up from frustration to just cancel the order all together.The man had no problem with it.Simply shrugged it off as if it was my first time ordering from there.Very disappointing boss.Your business doesn’t need any luck because your pizza is simply the best!I hope you guys learn to be genuinely kind to your customers an neighborhood regulars an not smile just for the...

TERRIBLE .WORST .MOST DISRESPECTFUL STAFF.....The management had offered us new plates because the jolepenio poppers were so cold and old that the cheese wouldn't even melt the fries were soo cold and old I waited over an hour for them to get to my door the manager offered us new plates on the housethe pizza and wings were cold also but didn't want to cause too much a fuss the pizza was over cooked which is good for me but my friend didn't like and couldn't even see bacon or the onions on his side of the pizza it was supposed to be 4 toppings . The food was all cold and the delivery was an hour and 8 mins after we called. They are only 3.7 miles away... thanks for the managment we will still come back to eat only because of offering to fix it. Also couldn't understand the person on the other end of the phone. It was a terrible experience... well a week later now we called back to get the food that the manager told us over the phone we would get on the house because of the delivery issue and all the remaining issues that weren't mentioned but yes of course now the manager doesn't remember that he offered the food and on top of it all I was asked 3 times to repeat my problem and after all of that the lady well I should say immature Girl that answers the calls called me stupid and was very rude. This place is a joke and karma will come back around. We do delivery for pizza every week 2 or three times even if its not pizza it would be other things grinders etc.. so now I hope this helps others in this area and are now careful ordering here.. we have never ever had such a messy issue with a place of business. They lost a lot of business for this. I hope this helps so no one else goes...

Terrible experience like no other.

I have been a customer of East side pizza for years, over 15 years. One night I decided to call and get a slice of cheese pizza. The OWNER (lady) told me they had a slice and to come down. I get there to only two slices of pepperoni pizza, which was no problem, but annoying nonetheless. She said she would charge me for a cheese and took down my card information since she couldn’t work the machine. I ended being charged OVER SIX DOLLARS for only ONE slice of cheese pizza. When I went to the shop to resolve the issue I was told by her that I didn’t have money on my account and that I need to call my bank.

To be told that by the owner that I didn’t have money and I basically stole a slice of pizza (mind you if this was true, why did she not ask me to pay the unpaid tab???) was beyond unprofessional and sad behavior from this establishment. I called my bank just to ensure that no issues were caused from my end and they confirmed the charge was for the full $6.55 and was only charged one time, so she did not try to charge my card multiple times like she explained.

She made an honest mistake and instead of resolving the issue of a minor $3 overcharge she disrespected a customer and lost years of service to come. I will NEVER give my money to these people again and if you are brave enough to go there PLEASE BRING EXACT CASH CHANGE ONLY!!!!!! DO NOT USE YOUR CARD OR LEAVE YOUR CARD NUMBER...
