Pete the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, but the menu is great and versatile. Everyone can find something, even vegans. Food is reasonably priced, and the comfortable atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I've been a customer twenty years and I never had to wait for anything too long. Recently, I met Pete's wife, a wonderful lady, George their son has a fun sense of humor, and it truly is a family restaurant atmosphere. Food is fresh, gourmet restaurant quality, especially the desserts and in the summer the outdoor seating is wonderful. There is a fully stacked bar and TV for the sports watchers. With plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and all your beverage choices covered, you're all set. Fingers crossed Pete ads the Impossible Burger to his menu. Sustainability is important these days and there will always be a vegan whose eyes light up at the sight of a veggie burger. Its the only thing that's missing for me. Pete's burgers look amazingly put together with MAfries, it's quite a sizable dish, but a vegan version would make my day. I love the place. Take out is easy, I've done that too; just call ahead then pick up - it's prompt. Covid standards are followed, tables are always clean and they are not stingy on their servings. I recommend the outrageous nachos, the clam pizza or chicken marsala dinner plate for the carnivores. The vegans may enjoy an eggplant grinder with the strawberry salad or one of the pasta dishes. The canoli and the chocolate mousse cake are amazing, but Pete wil recommend the blueberry cheesecake (which I may just try one of these days). If you think New Hartford is too far for you, make a day of it! Collinsville Antiques across the street is a huge place to browse, and you can take a walk by the river at Satan's Kingdom or try tubing or a kayak down the street. It's all affordable and in the area. Winter skiing at SkiSundown is also great! There are movie theatres, shopping, bars, and lodging less than 5 miles away. Visit New Hartford...
Read moreMIchelangelo's is my family's favorite pizza place in the New Hartford area since Athena's closed, over a decade ago. Their pizzas and salads keep getting better all the time, and my sons love their signature “Michelangelo Fries” (bacon, cheese, ranch dressing—Yum!). I'm crazy about their Bruschetta as an appetizer or even for a complete meal, if I'm ordering out lunch with my coworkers. There are many other items on the menu; you won't be disappointed if you're looking for a hearty meal. Recently, I was looking for a low carb option, and although not described as such, I found the perfect, most delicious dish imaginable: Chicken with Broccoli. Don’t let the simple name fool you—this most tender and juicy chicken breast is served with the most amazing, taste tantalizing sauce. And the broccoli is incredibly flavorful. I asked if I could have extra veggies in place of the pasta it is normally served with, and they happily granted my request. I was pleasantly surprised with a very tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned, generous serving of mixed vegetables. I enjoyed every bite! Such a generous portion made for a great lunch the next day of delicious leftovers (though I couldn’t resist dipping into it at snack time for a yummy morsel or two of that delectable broccoli. Yep, it’s that good.) If dining in, I find that the decor is nice, too, and their wine list is lovely. A real restaurant, not just a takeout place. And your food is always...
Read moreDONT WASTE UR MONEY, TERRIBLE FOOD, WORSE SERVICE....pizza is out fav food and we are now permanently scarred from ever having it again. This place puts no effort in their food or their atmosphere. I'd be ashamed and embarrassed as the owner. The female that served me was beyond rude even throwing my change down on the counter. Before her I was completely ignored three times by some male who even when walking by me three times couldn't pull together a smile, I mean I don't blame hime he's stuck working in this hell hole. I wouldn't smile either. Pizza was burnt, no flavor, old stale dough n cheese. My dog spat it out even after loading it w parmesan cheese to offset the burnt flavor. She couldn't chew it and I couldn't cut it bc they were too lazy to cut it right. I'm thoroughly spoiled and disgusted and won't be surprised if we get...
