Avelino's Pizza — Restaurant in New Haven

When you complain to the owner , he tried to blame you for overreacting. Don’t just take my opinion, check out their other reviews. The owner of the business and his staff should be forced to take a class on how to act when running a business In Franklin Square and Garden City South, there are numerous pizzerias to choose from. Unfortunately, Avelinos falls short as one of the lower-rated pizza joints in the area. The quality of food is dreadful, and the staff is often caught using their phones. On one occasion, a worker left the bathroom after a brief hand wash (if he washed them at all) with his phone in hand. He then proceeded to handle the unsanitary food and attempted to pick up a garlic knot that had fallen off the plate with his bare hands. It is recommended to skip Avelinos and opt for any other random pizza spot in the area for better food...

I always order here for me and my daughter but tonight the woman answer the phone and I didn’t like how she handle my call. The guy always nice and answer your questions with no hesitation. He even went to the extreme and brought the pizza to my car as he seen my daughter was asleep. I appreciate that. Now The guy told me once I come in person to order with my card then I can pay with my card for delivery over the phone moving forward. I place 2 orders already. Now today, this lady didn’t want to hear that. Now, I’m trying to tell her what the guy said but she refuse to listen and dismiss me. Honey do better, I’m a great customer and I will take my business elsewhere but you should have a conversation with your partner (guy) so it’s no miscommunication with the customers. I’m being generous with this review also it’s no coincidence that every customer has the same exact opinion about yall customer service and all you guys say that it’s the customers fault because we feel entitled I called for delivery and I got asked unnecessary questions like secondary phone number am I ordering for someone else Ect my order wasn’t even taken Correctly I asked for a medium and got charged the price 27$ the price. of a large pizza when I called back to figure out why someone who didn’t speak good English answers a woman n I was told they’re too busy they can’t tell me prices and hung up...
