Joy Kitchen — Restaurant in New Haven

I ordered from these ppl about 5 times. The last 3 times the general chicken was so bad and chewy and old idk if it was chicken. You probably ask why I kept getting it. Because I'm poor and I have no choice. However, I believe that's why they did it. I feel bad all the Chinese restaurants are leaving but in terrified it wasnt even chicken and I'll be trying to digest this b.s. my whole life to no avail. Who are they to steal my only hope at a flatt stomach in life. They dont know me, or my aspirations. She said her name was Jenny. I asked for a refund and has laughed. I beg u. Dont eat here. They also inflate prices, like everyone serving food to the poor, More. I beg some to serve fair and clean food to poor ppl in new haven. We pay higher prices for rotten food and most of the time these business seem to blame the customers for why they are over pricing for inedible rotten food. I been threw this game with a couple other Chinese restaurants and from what I gather, it's a game to them. It's got nothing to do with money or product availability. It's got to do with commitment. Committment to buy whatever they sell for whatever the price. So. Duck em. We dont have anymore Chinese food in the hood anymore, fine. The corner store thinks they got the money to wait us out, let them. But please. Someone. Someone come to New Haven and sell clean good food to new haven. I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. Between the customer service, food, or wait I don’t know what was worse. I’m not one to complain because I work in the restaurant business. But I waited 2 hours for food that was supposed to be 45 minutes. When I finally got it the order the general chicken was rubbery and mushy. And it was no longer hot. I called the restaurant and talked to the lady and she argued that the food was not cold, and then proceeded to laugh. Oh and it gets better she said to bring it back because it’s not cold as if I have to lie about my food not being up to par. The amount of condensation that were in the boxes was ridiculous as if it was just sitting there. Then proceeded to blame the driver. No matter who’s fault it was I received a poor experience. Both meals that I ordered taste like old food, especially the rice- to the point that our meals are inedible. So, I called back to see if they can replace it (I even offered to give back the food, so that they can see we weren’t trying to get more food). The person that picked up, just kept on repeating “no” in an upbeat tone as if this was a joke to her, when I asked if there’s anything she can do about the inedible food that was delivered to us. She claimed it was new food, so I continued to tell her that this food was not new considering the nauseating taste.
