Sabor Nuestro — Restaurant in New Haven

They get two stars because my son liked his Bistec and rice. I ordered from Uber and paid priority. 35 minutes when it said 15-20 minutes. Ordered a small Sancocho..which definitely was not a Sancocho. A side order of tostones that were soggy and cold ( mind you I live literally 5 minutes away). Picadera was a joke and the tiny pieces of chicharon ( 4 little mostly bone and fat pieces). The ine little bite I took tasted seriously off, old, and were soggy. For 13 bucks it was a tiny portion and literally went straight to the garbage. Chicharon is supposed to be crispy and tasty. Chicken was cold and oily, and soggy. The breading was falling off of the scraggly pieces and some of the pieces were only breading. It's supposed to be crunchy. A real picadera has longaniza...this did not have any. Again, the tostones were soggy and cold. Horrible. Especially for a little over 50 bucks. I would never order from here again. It was much better when it was Collado... Go to Caliente and save yourself...

I was in New Haven shopping on Sunday after that we always go to the food trucks but I wanted some Spanish food as I was driving around I saw this little place I thought at first it was a convenience store, but it wasn’t. It was a restaurant when I walked in my first impressions where wow is unique and Its Own Way, Food smell delicious. The girls were well mannered in serving your food and plates. I didn’t wanted to take out. I wanted to dine in and see the atmosphere and oh boy this place got packed in minutes it’s seems they are well known for their food and hospitality From the table to the floor and bathroom were very clean.The food was so delicious that it took me back memory lane when my Grandma used to cook for us. If you enjoy Spanish like I do just go and visit and order food and sit and eat you won’t regret it .oh I forgot to mention they do DoorDash as well or uber eats it’s one of the two so you can get it delivered to you as well. thank you very much I enjoyed every...

It's starting not to be good. Food was dry and bland this time. I even asked for gravy and it still wasn't wet..... my first few times it was seasoned, and flavorful.

The person waiting on me had an attitude and had on these long fingers nails 💅 😒 that were touching my food as she tried closing the container.... I had to eat from the middle of the container to avoid what her hands touched.. No gloves on, just seems unhygienic 👎🏾! I don't know what's underneath your nails and it's digging into my food. Nope... all set ! Especially with viruses going around nahhh.... I used to stop here when I'm in town but not anymore.....

Too bad... hoping this was a one time thing....maybe they will take reviews into consideration in step it back up. Quality...
