San Martin cemitas & tacos — Restaurant in New Haven

Delicious food and great, kind service! As a vegetarian my only option was elote, but when that they made me delicious off menu tacos with lettuce, avocado, onions, nopal, and cheese. The ingredients tasted fresh and the salsas were super flavorful. I’m definitely grateful that they accommodated my needs. Overall great tasting tacos at a reasonable price and definitely would come back!

Note: I was with a fluent Spanish speaker who was able to fully explain that I don’t eat meat. I may have been able to get it across well enough, but all the other customers spoke fluent Spanish so I’m unsure how many English only customers they get. But don’t let that detract you from...

I drove by and saw this taco truck at the end of the street I work on and they are only here Thursday-Sunday. I decided to try it out… the food and service were terrific! Got the tacos pastor and I was in and out in 10 minutes! Will definitely be back for more.

Update: got the Birria Tacos today… omg, so good! Probably the best I ever had!

Update #2: today I tried Tacos Lengua (beef tongue!) I have never had beef tongue before, and it was really good. The nice woman that took my order said it was their most popular item, for those in the know. It was served with a fried chili pepper that was spicy and delicious (I ate it with the tacos)! Soo good! I was in Puebla last week and woke up craving a cemita today. I couldn’t believe I found such an amazing one so close - it would have been worth the drive from anywhere. This is by far the best Mexican food I’ve had in CT. The cemitas, tacos árabes and agua de maracuyá were all perfect. I can’t wait to...
