From the wing king of Ohio, continuing my show on the road! First up for this trip is this place Wing Madness in New Haven, Connecticut. Short version of this review: this place tried to rip me off and blamed me for it; read down for in-depth review: Read my other reviews for the best place to get wings in New Haven*
They took my online order, never delivered my food, never called me to say they weren't delivering my food. When I finally called 30 mins after my food was supposed to be here, the nice(read: sarcasm) lady on the phone acted like I should be happy my food wasn't delivered and said I could wait another 45 minutes for them to make and deliver it. Then when I said I wanted my food, they cancelled my dinner... Then the owner calls to blame me for them not delivering my food, saying after they charge your credit card they call you to verify you still want your food... Yes, I ordered online 2 minutes ago, I no longer want my food. What a joke of a business. To top it off, he says "we'll refund your order"... Well how magnanimous of you, you'll refund the food you refuse to deliver. Such a great guy. Stay away!
A successful resolution to this situation would have been as simple as: offered a free drink, or some token for your obvious poor business choice;
delivered food order(bigger shocker there);
start with an apology, NOT accusing me of not answering my phone(for calls that never rang), or answering texts(that were never sent). You know how I know they lied about calling, I offered to pay for food that never came IF they could provide proof they called/texted as they accused me of ignoring. When I made that offer, to one of the owners, he said ok. Then stated he was checking, then suddenly his tone changed and he wished me well,and started just blaming me. Lol. Sounds like someone was covering for being lied to.
If this is the best wing Connecticut can offer, this trip will be a bigger bust than Wing Madness. New Haven check my review for a wing place that will wow your taste buds
Update look at the below reply: now they blame it on an illegible number, but first say it was the wrong number, and when I called they claimed to have the right number. Amazing. So which is it? Illegible number, wrong number, or right number? So...when I typed it in online, they couldn't read it? Was it in comic sans?
Also notice, they ask to "give them another try, BUT don't offer anything, no discount, no free app, nothing... Yeah I'll pass on poor customer service as I'm sure the quality isn't in the...
Read moreIf we could give zero stars we would. A coworker and I recently ordered "the justice burger" from here (the pictures attached shows exactly what was expected to be on the burger) and what we received was the complete opposite. There was NO cheese, NO bacon, NO hickory smoked BBQ, and NO tomatoes. We called Wing Madness to inform them about the mistake and they quickly blamed us for ordering the wrong burger. One of the employees stated "maybe you should check with GrubHub". We QUICKLY let her know we ordered from THEIR website. According to them, "the justice burger" was exactly what they gave us but on THEIR website it states otherwise.
They refused to deliver us the correct order unless we "paid the difference". There was no way for us to get in contact with the manager unless he called us at his own time. After 30 minutes of going back and forth with the employee and manager, they finally realized that their website was indeed incorrect and told us we had to drive (EVEN THOUGH OUR FOOD WAS DELIVERED) and bring our orders back for them to give us the correct order.
Very bad customer service from the employees AND the manager. WE DO NOT recommend this place. What we would recommend is that Wing Madness require ALL EMPLOYEES (INCLUDING MANAGERS) to get some customer service training. That phone call was ridiculous and it should not have taken over 30 minutes for them to realize there was an issue on their end, not ours. They were so quick to blame us and that's not efficient customer service.
Thank you for coming to...
Read moreI admit after I ordered I read reviews on this restaurant and I was really worried.. I got my food in about 40 minutes and it was still steamy hot.The fries were perfect. Crispy and deliscious. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy and not salty like a lot of places. Yummy. Now the wings, I will say are extremely small and pricey but I’ve found they were perfectly done and the two sauces I chose were amazing to my pallet. I’m a born and raised Chicago boy so I’m used to good food. These wings were the best I’ve had since I’ve moved here 16 years ago. My suggestion to anyone getting cold food is to stop using Uber eats. They are bad. Drivers will pick up your food then take people on livery calls.also if there is a line and their drivers have to wait, they will sign off calls and then you have to wait while Uber eats finds another driver. I know this because I ordered an order from Burger King at 7 pm and after 4hours and 5 drivers I got my food. I was furious and Uber eats would not refund me. Since I’ve switched to door dash I’ve never had to wait or get old or cold food. I’d spend money...
