Hing Wah — Restaurant in Hamden

I am a repeat customer and usually I don’t make a complaint about my food here but yesterday I ordered beef shrimp a broccoli combo with a side of chicken wings.

I was displeased with my entire order. Everything was hard and overcooked. I ordered this food for dinner since I work the night shift. By the time I tried to eat my food it was too late to call due to the business being closed and today was a busy day so I called them when I could. Usually they would rectify the situation right away.

They basically bounced me around from person to person on the phone and told me there was nothing they could do to help me so I throw it away in the garbage. Someone called me claiming to be apart of management and pretty much said the same thing the previous person said (that their was nothing they can do unless I brought the food back) I was so mad with the customer service I was receiving so needless to say it went to the garbage!

I always buy there because it is delicious but today I had the worst experience, after arriving from vacation we decided to order here for delivery and guess what? the delivery man arrived with an attitude he could barely look me in the face, previously he himself tried to overcharge me at the time of cash payment, so this time I decided to ask him for the receipt to be sure. but he with attitude he told me that he would not give me the receipt. I paid him the $31 for the order + a $5 tip and told him that we all have bad days but the next time he should be nice. He just turned his back on me and kept walking to his car. so I decided to tell him to give the money back and that I would give him the food. because I felt that he was disrespecting me with that attitude.
