Cane River Pecan Company Pie Bar — Restaurant in New Iberia

We had a great time at Pie Bar! They have a fantastic menu with pies available by the slice, half, or whole. And they also have a lovely cocktail menu! We tried four different slices. Key Lime, orange creamsicle, strawberry Guidry, and a coconut crème pie. All were fantastic, with key lime taking home the gold. Beautiful playing, and a crust that will change your life.

My partner had a glass of Prosecco, and I had their signature table side smoked pecan old fashioned. It was not smoked table side, and for a $15 cocktail, it was just fine. I don’t expect the old fashioned to be the life of the party at the pie bar, though.

There is also an attached gift shop with some ambitious pricing. But it’s a gift shop.

Very nice lunch spot or to have coffee and dessert. Very clean, decent service and great options. I only wish they were open on the weekends. I really enjoyed my apple pie even though it wasn’t completely warmed up, still a little cold in the middle. But the crust was very good, not my favorite part but very good and had a beautiful texture. Even the thicker parts on the edge was good. Usually you find that part dry and overbooked but this was cooked evenly and tastes great. The filling was amazing. Not overly sweet either. A very pleasant desert. I wish they had a Strawberry Rhubarb pie like this. I’ve had one elsewhere and it’s my new favorite pie if I can ever find it anywhere. I don’t want to drive to Houston to get it lol. This establishment is an amazing asset to downtown New Iberia. Great service and friendly staff, shout out to Cameron 💓 ! Menu prices are very reasonable. The chicken salad was delicious 😋 very flavorful and the roasted pecans were the perfect touch! Lovely coffee shop/cafe vibe here, it’s decorated and arranged very nicely with an open space concept, with tables and lounge area! A good assortment of fresh desserts. The latte was very good. Within the same building is the Cane River Pecan storefront shop with a lot of Louisiana and Cajun inspired gift options as well as their pecans. There is also live music on Friday afternoons.
