The Mitchell college students who work in the ice cream shop are professional , hard working and very nice. The ice cream is delicious and I've had their ice cream for many years as I live in New London. I won't tell you the numbers of years I've enjoyed the yummy frozen and creamy food of the gods! However, since Mitchell College now owns the brick ice cream store and the big red barn, it would behoove the college to restore the barn. We were very disappointed however on our first visit of the season this year. They must have changed their supplier because the ice cream was no longer as tasty and the cones were very unpleasant. In addition, the portion size has decreased substantially.
We voted with our feet. We now go to Malerba's in Norwich. Michael s would be well advised to source their ice cream and cones exactly as Malerba's does. An added bonus, the pricing and portion sizes...
