Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New London

Waited 20 minutes parked after going through the drive-through. Ordered a 12 piece tender meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, tried to get 2 apple pies...more on that in a minute, ended up with an apple pie and a strawberry cream cheese pie, then 2 of their dessert biscuit things. When ordered, was told they had one apple pie ready but would have to wait 7 minutes for a second one or I could get the other pie as they had one ready, I said fine and the told me to pull around. After I paid, they told me to park because something wasn't ready, didn't say what. After 10 minutes parked, I started wondering what was going on because the 1 car that was in front of me was parked as well as the car behind me. Nobody had gotten their food yet despite 5-6 cars going through the drive-through and getting food. After 15 minutes, I had enough. I walked in and was asked by the manager what my name was, implying I was there for doordash or something. I stated I had been waiting for my meal for 15 minutes, and she said they were waiting on tenders. After telling her I wasn't warned about a 15-minute wait for tenders, she said they take 7 minutes. Leaving me extremely confused. After 4 more minutes, she looks around at me again after running through the kitchen screaming at people, and says they are now waiting on mac and cheese, but she would put extra tenders in the box. A couple more minutes passed, and she finally handed me my order. Yes, there were extra tenders and extra mac and cheese, which was an attempted thoughtful gesture. But 25 minutes after initial order, if I wanted to wait that long for food, I would have gone literally anywhere else. It seems as though I always have an issue whenever I come here. I try again about every 6-9 months, hoping for a change, but once again, I was majorly disappointed. This was the last straw for this Popeyes. This place is horrible and I never write a bad review for places. To start when we came in, I ordered the chicken sandwich combo. Well, the lady told me that they were out of Diet Coke. Bummer, but fine I'll take water... "We don't have water". What place doesn't have water?!?!?! "We have tea and Dr Pepper". Well I didn't want either of those so I went to go get the bottle of water I had out of my car. She asked if I wanted an extra side to compensate so I said "Sure I'll take another side of fries". We got the food so I asked for BBQ sauce "Bbq sauce is 35 cents each". Are you for real? I already paid for a drink that I didn't even get and you want to charge me for sauce? I went into my car and got the water and found my Mickey D's bbq I had instead LOL. So I go back inside and the food is ready. Go to grab the fries and they're cold. Of course, right? So my mom goes and gives them back to the lady and says "can we get some hot fries please". Lady literally RIPS the bag out of my moms hand- talk about rude. 10 minutes later when I've already finished my chicken sandwich (which was actually edible by the way surprisingly) I finally got some hot fries. I stopped at this Popeyes today for some lunch. First time here in quite a while… I went inside because I did not see a speaker for the drive-through. Once inside, I decided to use the restroom and that was the beginning of the end. I lifted the toilet seat and instantly started to gag and dry heave because there was human feces all over the bottom side of the seat. Absolutely disgusting. I went up to the front and was going to say something, but quickly realized there’s nothing I could say that was gonna make this OK, so I left. I will never go here again. Absolutely disgusting, worse Popeyes I have ever been to. Update/Next day: After seeing the quick and concerned reply from the management, along with some further consideration (allowing some time to get over the initial impact on my senses - I can't unsee what I witnessed), I adjusted my rating. The more I thought about it, the vile mess I witnessed was a result of someone in the public. While the restaurant needs to be more vigilant when it comes to the conditions of the restrooms, it is also possible that the damage was done recently. Furthermore, we don't want Potty Police...
