Peep's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in New Market

I have always loved stopping at Pack's. And although I love their ice cream, and although I've always had a great experience when we stop by, I do feel the need to say that I was really disappointed the last time I visited. Before I go any further I think it's important to stress that I won't let what happened deter me from going back, it's a matter of management needing to educate their staff's cleanliness/personal hygiene and to possibly question the staff's well being before allowing them to work (maybe they did, maybe they didn't! Who knows?!) and handle their customers' food. As I was sitting in the parking lot enjoying my ice cream I happened to be looking over and noticed that one of the 2 girls (the younger one) must have had a runny nose. She must have wiped her nose at least 4 times with her hand and then rubbed it on her sleeve. At this point I had my husband discard my ice cream, which really saddened me since I live 3 hours away and only get Pack's maybe once or twice a year. I hoped that since there's very much an active pandemic going on that I would see her wash (or at least disinfect!) her hands, but she did not and rather waited on another customer. I was shocked. I should have jumped out of my car and said something to the customer but didn't think to and for that I feel badly. Just a little reminder that Covid symptoms can be something as simple as the common cold. Please don't allow your employees to work if they show any signs or at minimum require a covid test. Honestly, even with a cold they shouldn't be there. No one wants to get sick whether it's a cold or Covid. I love Pack's, I really do, but this really bothered me. Oh, and the other thing was seeing them both handle money (after I had already starting eating my ice cream, not before or I would have said something then) and then touch the customer's cone. My cone didn't even have a napkin around it so her hands were directly on it which I looked for after I saw what had happened. 😔 Again, I love Pack's and have for years and years but I really hope that management will do some educating with their staff and/or remind them that if they're not well not to...

First time visit to Pack's Frozen custard🍦 in New Market but return visits are guaranteed to enjoy more of their delicious desserts🍨! Their abilities in service were excellent keeping well satisfied customers👪 receiving their favorites and enjoying the scenic views🚵‍♀️ of surrounding mountains. Definitely, recommend to those who enjoy various choices and custom preparedness of Frozen custard ice cream. Personally, drove over 50 miles to check out Pack's reputation of best served in Valley. Regardless, A local Kline's within minutes STILL WORTH drive to check out Pack's . Enjoy ! My suggestion try their awesome...

I love small business so I won't give this the 2 stars it deserves. I strongly suggest you get a sundae or something because their ice cream is very flat in flavor. McD's frozen custard is actually way better. And they do a bunch of silly, useless, confusing promos that don't save you any money at all; that's not a big deal it's just ridiculousness on their part. I wish small business would realize that people will pay for great quality. Cheap products and cheap quality are no good. They survive because they're slightly unique in their location towns I just wish it was a good product they were...
