I just had the best gyro I've had in my life at this place. That's saying a great deal since I was born and raised in the Chicago metro area. There are a lot of great Mediterranean joints throughout the Chicago region. The seasoning was terrific. The tzatziki sauce was lovely. The seasoning, again, was really out of this world. The base was a nice tangy yogurt supported by a healthy amount of --dill? I'm not sure since I've never made tzatziki sauce, but it was delicious. And the baba ghanoush had a creamy texture and wonderful smoky highlights of what one should expect from great baba ghanoush (hard to find anywhere). Buuuut, added to that was a nice spicy kick that just elevated the whole experience. The price was very reasonable. Even the fries were unusually tasty. The weakest portion of the meal were the pita slices. Honestly, I'm not sure pita can ever be as delicious as naan or a good sourdough, but that was such a small part of the whole meal. I'm definitely going back as often as I can and I would recommend...
Read moreI’ve been to this place numerous times!
The first time was with my family. We were greeted at the door and we sat on our table. Customer service is amazing. We ordered 1 of each of their brick oven pizzas - definitely recommend the Zataar pizza. We also ordered one of each of the kabob platters and I can’t tell you enough about how juicy and tender they were (all 3 the chicken, kufta, and steak). The second time we came back for more pizza - again the pizza is 10/10. The third time we decided to cater from them for a family member’s wedding. It wasn’t a small catering order. We’re talking about 300+ people for two nights. From the rice, to the meats, to the baklava it was all perfect. To get that much food and for it all to be delicious and consistent every time was something that was truly impressive. Shout out to the owners of this place. I can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10 across the board. We will continue to come back to this place. I want to say more, but in all honesty you just have to check them out...
Read moreHummus & homemade baklava were truly wonderful, I’d go back just for those. But we found the tabbouleh, meat grape leaves, rice, and cucumber yogurt salad to be extremely bland & disappointing — have had way better of each at numerous other Arabic restaurants. Also, we were not fans at all of their version of schwarma — the meat was caked in dry powdered seasonings. The atmosphere also could be elevated in simple but effective ways, such as perhaps using real glassware instead of their big red plastic Coca Cola cups for all the beverages . We also had to wait an extremely long time for the server to bring part of our appetizer which the kitchen had forgotten. Our entrees came already by the time...
