This was to be a special night. My husband and I were on a date night and I had stumbled across this restaurant from OpenTable. I had read the reviews from Yelp, but overall the reviews were not that bad. Upon arrival, the appearance of this charming restaurant look like something from a dream. With the festive lights and beautiful foliage all around I was intrigued of how the experience was going to be on the inside. Again, it was beautiful. The service from the staff was immaculate. We looked over the menu and one of the items I wanted to try was the lamb burger. "Sorry, we are all out." So we tried two other items on the menu (I can't even remember what it was because it didn't leave a great impression). The presentation of it was something out of a magazine, but it lacked flavor. It was so bland, but we did not want to ruin the night. We made no mention of the distaste. We ate, closed our bill and left. Why in heavens name do I see an overcharge on my checking account from this restaurant?? I did not include a tip because the main reason to patronage this business is the reason I will not return again, but overcharging me is the ONLY reason I am writing a review. So now I am left with a bad food experience and an overcharge????? What the hell...... I am now waiting for management to review what happened, and guess what, since I work in the finance industry my bank is already...

SOOO happy to have Chais Delachaise in the neighborhood that I both live and work. The food is incredible. When I went to post a review of my new & fave place I saw a review saying they have roaches all over the walls and something about only having whatever alcohol on their 3rd night open. WHAT??? they just got their liquor license (I know my office staff had celebration when it happened) it's been byob no alcohol for their 1st week. Everything is brand new and you can see right into the kitchen, shiny steel everywhere there's no bugs inside that I have seen!!! My office is less than a block away and I have eaten at Chais 3x! It's pristine and absolutely top notch, cute inside and out. We were saying in the office they might even get awards for their food. I have only had about 1/3 of things on the menu but all have been 5 stars. Cured trout, moules with frites, salad with dried cherries, beef rendang, grilled squash, mushroom bruschetta and the lamb sliders. They don't have a huge dessert menu, just 3 things since they opened maybe they'll expand it. I've only had the chocolate cake and pound cake but both were excellent. Excellent staff, so attentive & friendly. We are happy to have you in the neighborhood....

This restaurant got us to leave another one to come back…. We arrived in New Orleans. A friend of a friend recommended this place. It was near our Airbnb and so we thought we’d give it a try. We are so incredibly glad we did. The first night we got the chef’s salad, salmon deviled eggs, fries and octopus. The second night we came to eat, we reordered the chefs salad and tried the pork noodle dish with truffle cream sauce. Everything was spectacular. Special shout out to the chefs salad Dijon mustard dressing, the pickled veggies and the octopus! The food was flavorful, beautifully presented and totally worth the price. We also got amazing drinks (please try the she left me one read!) and wine (the Provence Rose they had was top notch). I’ve talked a ton about the food but I can’t forgot the service. Sarah was our amazing server both nights. She was charismatic, had great taste in food (even recommended an amazing breakfast place for us) and simply entertaining. We also had the pleasure of talking with Lindy…another amazing server.

Overall, this restaurant is delicious. It’s a must try. The porch dining, the ambiance, the food and the drinks are perfect. I’m sad that we are leaving tomorrow and can’t return for a...

Dressed up for formal I arrived with my party of 6 and we had the best time! Incredible server (we arrived 2 minutes after Happy Hour ended and she let us get a round at Happy Hour prices!) and delicious food. We ordered the cauliflower and loved it and then almost as soon as we were done they brought out another. We informed them we did not order another and he said hmm okay well do you still want it free of charge? The cheese servings were very small but they tasted great and when we asked for extra bread they brought it promptly. Delicious cocktails, fantastic wine, wonderful staff, delightful food, and the perfect ambiance for a lovely night on any occasion!

Honestly the beignet dessert was a highlight! The most light, airy, and fluffy beignets and when paired with the mouse- delightful! I love deviled eggs and salmon but this smoked salmon deviled eggs appetizer did not do it for me- too fishy so I wouldn’t recommend that. Although the french fries were great with the aioli, the peanut sauce was interesting. Not sure it fully worked but an interesting experience. The veggie risotto was satisfying but honestly the dessert is the real reason I’m going with 5/5. Also our server was extremely sweet!
