I have frequented this spot often over 6 years before today. Me and my son usually grab a snowball and nachos and head out or sit outside and eat. Today, my son's friend joined us and they are both 6. Nachos in a back seat with 2 six year Olds can get pretty hectic. There was only one other car when we pulled up but we were the first inside. I asked 3 times if they were closing and was ignored and asked "how many snowballs?". He didn't ask rudely. However, my question went unanswered. I ordered the nachos as well and after I paid we headed outside. I noticed the chairs were chained already and we just sat to eat the nachos quickly. After he finished the other family's snowball...he comes out and says we're closing soon. Mind you, I would have gotten the nachos if he had said that. So I said guys let's hurry and eat so we can get out of here. A few minutes after he left from telling us they were closing, they turned the lights off. I scurried the boys and we got in the car. I wasn't going to write the review because I understood they were closing. But as the boys were buckling up, the lights came back on and have remained on with no one coming outside during the entire time I am writing this review. As a single mother alone with 2 young boys, this felt very unfriendly. Like I said, I wasn't even going to write this review, however, this put a bad taste in my mouth. They are scheduled to close at 7 and it's 6:17 as I'm finishing this up. Do with this information...
Read moreThis is disheartening solely because I always visit this place for my occasional snowball and hot tamales. However, today was a disgrace. I ordered a dozen of hot tamales and 3 snowballs. In my mind knowing that there is a semi-lengthy wait for the tamales, they would fix the snowballs last. Nope, that's not what they did. They fixed 3 snowballs while I waited for the tamales longer than usual. What really rocked me off was everytime I checked the status of the tamales, they gave me some unrealistic response like a minute and a half or something crazy. Finally, one guy said they take 6 minutes to get done, and I felt like I lost it. Those six minutes to heat up a dozen of hot tamales means nothing to me when I've already been waiting for nearly 15 minutes and my snowballs have melted.
The good thing is I'm not going to let this matter build a wedge between me and my neighborhood snowball stand, but I would really like to see you all think outside the box a little and consider these types of orders for the future.
Today, I'm going to rate you all with 2 stars. Overall, I think you're like a...

My guy needs a couple days off from work if he ain’t...
