Norma's Sweets Bakery — Restaurant in New Orleans

I am a big fan on Norma's bakery in Kenner and since this location is closer to home, I thought it would be good to try it out. I went in there with my husband and bought five guava pastries and 5 meat pies. When I bit into the meat pie, there was a piece of wire inside. Not only that, but the little bit we are of the guava and meat made us very sick right after, both of us ended up with the biggest stomach ache. What a sweet bakery, sandwich shop, and grocery store. The guava cheese King Cake was a light and fluffy brioche dough and absolutely delicious. I could not resist biting into the pastries (both savory and sweet) on my walk.

I knew this place was going to be legit when no one spoke English. Crème filled pastries were chef kiss. They were out of empanadas so I tried the pollo pastel and it was so delicious.
