Tender Loving Care! I am so honored to have an opportunity to share my experience of working with Heather Shields as my realtor. After 54 years of hiccups and missteps, I was finally able to purchase a home for just myself. Over the last year, I had almost given up being able to continue to live in my beloved city because of the costs. In fact, I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to have a place of my own. Well then while I was in self-labeled desperate straits, I met Heather through a glowing referral from my boss. I was lucky that she wanted me to stay here, so I thought, let me put someone with my best interest at heart on my team. From there, it was smooth sailing. In retrospect, I've never had a transaction like this that went off without a hitch. Heather listened to my story, felt my rush, and made it happen for me. She made the closing happen within 30 days which is the bare minimum for any type of purchase that requires financing. Heather was very encouraging and calming throughout the process. I never felt judged or rushed. I also knew that she was looking out for me. While I was gazing at fresh coats of paint, she was checking the inner workings of things that matter. She was determined to find a place that would work best for me. There were even a few things that I didn't think that the seller would address, but she pushed for me, and I even got a new A/C out of the deal! Amazing! Additionally, the apps that she and the lender used made everything so clear and simple. It would have been much harder had I had to drive all over town to sign all of the paperwork. After closing, she also referred me to a locksmith and moving company that were quality. I have been overjoyed everyday since!...

Leslie is a force of nature who will not stop working until she has gotten you your home. This was my first home buying experience and I would have been lost without her. Hell, I’m pretty sure I’m still lost but I knew I could trust her to take the lead. She doesn’t just unlock properties to let people poke around; she shows up with a printed list of everything there is to know about a property then looks at the property with you, pointing out things you may have missed or helping you figure out why that weird thing or whatever is weird.

A New Orleans native, she’s super well connected; if she doesn’t know something about a property you can bet she knows someone who does and she will have them on the phone in a matter of minutes.

Closing on my house was a challenge due to a number of factors. She adeptly helped me navigate them, pivoted when needed, and offered me experts who stepped in when she reached the end of her wealth of knowledge. She was never afraid to admit when she didn’t know something and would do the digging needed to figure it out.

In an industry filled with untrustworthy people, Leslie keeps it real. She is always honest and won’t just tell you what you want to hear in order to close a deal... even if that means having to work even more before getting her client a home. You can tell that she really wants to set people up for success and happiness in their homes. In short, she gives a sh*t and it shows.
