North Broad Seafood — Restaurant in New Orleans

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Now first off, I’ve had really good taste experiences with fresh and prefrozen crawfish. Despite the store being a complete filth bucket. Today I went there for some pre-frozen crawfish and they were clearly spoiled. I called and he told me to return them, so I did. When I bought them back the guy named KEVIN with the blowfish face took the bag and made a comment like “it’s one thing after another” so I replied with “you telling me, I had to drive all the way back here for this inconvenience”. He continued with his smart remarks. So I asked him to grab the bag so I could show him what I was talking about. I told him to smell it and he leaned back saying “ew I don’t wanna smell that”. Then he threw my card in the floor. These Asians set up stores in predominantly black neighborhoods and they’re disrespectful and completely racists. Catering to all black needs but lack total respect for the community and it’s people. My boyfriend had to get out of the car and get him to act right. He still didn’t pick up the card. He told another black man in line too do it. Hmm. Wake up black people. They CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT YOUR DOLLAR. The level of disrespect...

THIS FOOD IS FRESH!!! NOT SOUR LIKE TRIANGLE ACROSS THE STREET!! PRECOOKING AND TEMPER CHANGE ON FOOD, IT'S SOUR BY THE TIME I'VE GOTTEN TO MY CAR, SO I KNOW THE FOOD IS NOT FRESH THERE!!

I HAVE ATE AT THIS BLUE STORE FOR WELL OVER 12 YEARS!! PLATE IN FRIDGE 2 DAYS BEFORE I EAT IT OR I MIGHT EAT HALF!! I’ve driven by them for 14 years and never picked up food.

They are like every other corner food store. It’s good (and salty so be weary). The food is similar: pasta, large gulf shrimp, turkey necks, gumbo, poboys 12 inch or smaller. People are nice. Pretty hood but always feel safe.

Enjoy the food, people. The other 3 places I visit on Broad and Claiborne are marginally better but it’s not a huge chasm....
